2025-2026 Little East

Salve is much better than they are getting credit for here. If you think Norwich is going to walk into Salve Regina and trounce them then I believe you will be surprised. This isn't some MASCAC AQ.
I think it’s more the long lay off than the perceived lack of talent on Salve.

Two weeks between games is a long time for some teams. Salve is going on 5-6 weeks. That’s gotta be tough to stay sharp.

No, but they do have a loss to the MASCAC AQ.

Salve is a very solid hockey team…I think. I don’t know how much that thought is coming from last year though. Looking at the resume this year I would call them…unproven. I see one “good” win (Bowdoin).

Salve is skilled, and their goalie is very good. IF Norwich plays the way they’ve been playing, I think a “trouncing” is very possible. That’s a big “if”.

How is Norwich any more proven? The only good win they have is Babson. And Bowdoin is a better win than Babson…The layoff might hurt them but Norwich fans acting like this is a walk in the park are going to be mistaken. A very poor way to approach the game.

The good news is, the team and coaches most certainly won’t be approaching the game that way.

One could make the argument that at least Norwich had to “earn” their way in. Salve got in by virtue of a flaw in the NPI system. But, they’re in. And now they have every opportunity to shut everyone (not just Norwich fans) up and go on a run.

Seriously. The guy's acting like three people on a message board is going to have an impact on the team...
Thankfully it won't. I'm just pointing out that it is an incompetent way to approach a game as a fan. To simply look past Salve is silly, they are a dangerous team.

I agree. Although I would argue that Salve deserves to be there over Neumann or Anna Maria. And Adrian deserves to be there over all 3. But that is a conversation for a different day.

Know Fallon had an incredible season leading Babson (with still another year to play), but surprised Tyler Stewart from UMD didn't get it with his stats. On a struggling UMD team he still managed a 21G-24A-45P season with 1.8 pts per game. Probably game down to Fallon's +21 on the ice, but still a great showing. UMD always seems to produce a couple of star players each year that show up big (as long as they aren't poached away from them).

Admittedly, I do not know all the freshmen listed well. I was surprised to see neither Frank D'Ancona nor Niko Benjamin from Norwich on the all-rookie team.
