2024 Elections: One Last Chance for Democracy

Seeing that the economy has decided to interfere in the election- 250k new jobs (much higher than expected) and unemployment lowers to 4.1%.

How soon do we see a dumpy rally boo the economy getting better?

I have only seen parts but the way he was able to frame the various discussions as being about his candidacy not his presidency was very well done. If the Supreme Court dared to rule that stuff immune then any President seeking re-election would have carte blanche to rat phuck the election. Even the Judiciary (which they pretend has the ability to check the Immunity of the Executive) would not be able to reign in the power of the Executive Branch.

Funny how the party that supposedly hates a Centralized Federal Executive in lieu of sovereign states rights is basically setting up the ability for someone for just that. They better hope Trump wins because they are handing Kamala the keys to a car they have zero control over if she wins.

SCOTUS would have to ratf*ck its own presidential immunity ruling to help Trump against Smith’s case…granted, they’re entirely capable of doing that…but, the work Smith did to explain how Trump isn’t immune, even with the SCOTUS immunity ruling…*chef’s kiss*. Makes Mueller’s report look like a 2nd grader put it together the night before it was due.

Yeah that seems to be the consensus. The timeline of early January where Trump pretty much tells Pence he has to throw him to the lions on the 6th followed by a tweet to remind his people about it is downright scary. Pence knew what was coming...
 
It should be noted that payroll numbers for both July (55k) and August (17k) have been revised up. That damned 1929 style crash ;)

I'm reading commentary that Smith's filing is basically almost daring the SC to have to come out publicly and say they're all-in on granting Trump immunity, no matter what. Pretty much daring them to put their money where their mouth is.

Well the problem I would think for Trump is, unless he can get this heard before November 5th I don't think they are going to go out on a limb to protect him. They seem fine with the idea of him being the Executive to wield that power but I highly doubt they would be ok with Harris doing so and I don't think they want to have a case before them in 4 years arguing she should lose the power they handed her. (she could literally do anything to get re-elected if they make his actions immune) I would bet, in an act of complete cowardice and cynicism, they rule he is not immune after he is no longer in a position to be President thinking that will absolve them of the disdain everyone has for them now even though everyone will know they did it because they don't want Dems having that kind of power.

(no one should have immunity from criminality)

I can only imagine what Dark Brandon will say if it's clear that Kamala has won on 11/06. Very solid response that applies a tactical strike with zero room for a reply.
