Yeah I think if Wisconsin wins out they'll get to #1 -- certainly they'll be in position if they can sweep this weekend.

I don't see them winning out, that's for sure. Looking ahead to the WCHA tournament though, they can beat the rodents in the semis and then face OSU again in the final or if OSU gets ousted by the four seed, which could happen but not likely, though they're going to face the heck of a goalie in that semifinal.

The loss to Ohio St took a BIG bite out of Wisconsin's NPI, so much so that another tomorrow could knock them down to 4th place. But - if I did the download and scores input correctly - not nearly as much on Grant's NPI/Pairwise tool. There, even another loss tomorrow would likely leave UW in 2nd.

So who knows ... (let's just get the win, and moot the whole question!)

Heads up that my Pairwise predictor should come out late on Sunday. I can't get my numbers to exactly match the NCAA but unfortunately nobody I reach out to either with them or USCHO is answering my questions so I'm going to just have to roll with it. Everyone's almost exactly the same on mine except for some reason I have Clarkson's NPI a bit lower and St. Michael's (???) a bit higher.
