2022 Frozen Four

1-1. D throws puck on net, soft soft goal.

Anderson I think (number 5) did great work to collect the puck deep in the zone and got it to the D for the shot.
 
That was definitely NOT a soft goal or a trickler. What a great tip by Rogge!! Great puck movement by UMD in the offensive zone!

OSU's goal was capitalizing on a huge mental error by UMD behind their own net on the PK.

tOSU is generating much more chances, but UMD is tough to put away. Soderberg is playing well. Announcers faulted her on the Buckeyes goal, but I don't know that she had a safe place to put the puck. Buckeyes are coming hard in that period.

Does WCHA have any women refs? I can't think of any. Maybe there was a magic word that male WCHA refs would let go, but female HE refs didn't.
 
How do The OSU fans feel about Angela R between periods referring to them as Ohio? She was an ECAC player, so I guess she doesn't get it. Lol

She also referred to Brianna Jenner and Melodie “Dowst” last month. Nonetheless she is one of the cast of characters in women’s hockey and one who has never quit advocating for women’s sports so as an Ohian I’m rolling with it.

Had to laugh at the end of the second...you could tell Matvick was like “damn there’s a good game happening, I should call it.”
 
2-1 Ohio State, as Soderberg comes way too far out of her net to play the puck and turned it over. Arguably, the Buckeyes could have been called for checking her as she tried to make a pass, but not with this crew.
