Remember when all these Russian athletes, including some hockey players, said they would never compete in the Olympics if they couldn't do it under their country's flag back when the "ban" first took place? So much for standing up for what you believe in...
 
Slovakia wins bronze (and it’s first Olympic medal) after beating Sweden 4-0.

That Slafkovsky kid probably just shot himself to a number one overall pick.
 
The Japanese women's curling team is playing for gold tonight(well, probably already played, but don't spoil it for me) 8:00pm on CNBC

They were in tears the other night after their final round robin game, which they lost to Switzerland, and thought they were out of the medal round. But the other results worked out in their favor, and they got the fourth seed.

In tears again after they beat Switzerland in the semi-final.

I read that and thought, "can that be really right?" and... yep, it's right. Slovakia has won 4 medals in the Worlds including winning it all in 2002, but somehow never made it work in the Olympics.

So if Finland upsets the Russian(*) hockey team in the gold medal game tonight, Vlad invades Helsinki instead of Kiev?

I'm so far behind in curling. USA v Denmark. The announcers are embarrassing.

CNBC can go fuck themselves. Kenny Rice is fucking terrible.

I pulled the center and front speaker wires out. Much better.
 
Congrats Finland! I made my Finland/Ukraine joke on Twitter and got pushback from some Finns who reminded me
1) Finland isn't part of NATO but has good relations with all the members
2) Including the USA, which just sold them 64 F-35's

Really hoping the TV movie Threads remains fiction.
