2022 - 2023 Season BOSTON COLLEGE

A barn burner. Even QU being outshot 42-18. I'm gonna go out on a limb and say this is another lost year for Eastern hockey.

Denver
Michigan
UND
Minnesota
Minnesota State

I'll be stunned if it's anyone else.

Even though they've had a tough start, recent history says you can't count Duluth out.

Always good to get that first win encouraging win but don’t sit on 3-1 lead

eng makes it 4-2

will be at Matthews Tuesday and see if they can make it 2 in a row

After chatting with someone close to berniers BC really screwed that up

if the kid wants to play center you let him play center and not let him get away to Michigan

player like that don’t fiddle faddle by offering him only a 2yr scholly then 3 and player is turned off and says f—- BC

Gauthier is in but I don't love the fact NU is coming off a home loss. I am expecting a 3-1 type win for the Huskies but let's see what happens.

Struble out for the huskies. Unfortunate but hopefully they are buzzing after the game vs providence which was a snooze fest.

Shootout means even less for this game since it was a non conference game. I am encouraged by what I have seen so far.

Shootout meant zilch. Just dog and pony show. Liked the performance and like the effort over all three games.

Was this because it was just a game schedule filler ? Why not a real non conference opponent ?

I am not expecting a lot of goal scoring from the upperclassmen but if Kuntar, Ambrosio and Nesterenko can contribute some that would help. A good deal of help from guys like Gauthier will help obviously.

It's a work in progress and this team will struggle for offense for the most part.

Next years class will help a lot if as talented as projected

The defense will have the burden of eking out wins or hold on to leads late in the games and playing a total game defense to keep the scores low.

They obviously loaded up on defense this year and Benson needs to stay healthy and play well to keep BC in the game.

Middle of the pack team ????

Maybe 4th if the team progresses during the season and develops more offense

Unusual 1 PM start on Sunday when Pats don't play until Monday night

From what I understand both these teams were supposed to play Colorado College and CC canceled the series.

The Pats being on MNF makes the 1 pm start a pretty good idea. I am guessing a good family crowd. I think I will be taking my kids.

I think BC has enough offense to compete. Hell, scoring 3 on Levi is an accomplishment right there and they had chances for more. I think the bigger issue will be if the young defense and Benson can hold up.

Any particular reason for CC to cancel ?

I don't see it until I see it happening

I thought Ambrosio produced as a freshman but maybe it's because he wasn't pressured to with that class that left early did most of the scoring. Since then, he hasn't produced like I hoped.

Kuntar scored last night but I don't see it until he starts doing it more consistently without the penalties

BTW before last night's game, BC was 6-2 at Matthews last 8 games which is an interesting stat

A tie at Matthews is pretty good for a team that is just learning to play together. NU seemed to score in tight on the glove side, I think they decided to exploit that spot. Ambrosio's goal lifted me out of my seat, Gauthier goal was a foreshadowing of things to come. Agree that Benson and the D are the areas of concern. Need for the forwards to play good consistent 5on5 hockey.

Maybe in the next 5-6 games if they can win some of these, they can start to gel more / and gain more confidence and familiarity with each other to string together a strong season overall.

I don't see any pushover wins for this team as HE seems to have more parity. MC and UConn look good so far. The UNH win wasn't exactly an easy win and pretty close through most of the game until the 4th goal.
