Re: 2020 Democratic Challengers VII: Bon Voyage Beto

Fox News was literally created because of this. Roger Ailes thought if there had been a conservative propaganda network Nixon's support would have held. We are seeing now how right he was. Dump has already been caught dead to rights but his support will never erode because the Echo Chamber will just continue to pump the saps full of BS.

What? Biden's dethroned the queen?

I really think Newsweek and the rest of the media needs to start using more appropriate headlines. For instance, here is the correct headline "Sean Hannity Floats Lie About Biden and Pelosi" or "Fox News Host Lies" or "Fox News Loses Grip on Reality"

I never thought Amy had a chance nor am I sure if that will change a lot, but she absolutely killed it on Colbert last night.

For the moment. Any day now, Hillary will surely be announcing her third bid for POTUS. ;)

My MIL and FIL both watch Fox News, almost religiously. That channel runs stories about Hilary entering the race as if it's a certainty, the stories are on a regular cycle. I just shake my head at how they're trying to cover absolutely anything other than what's really happening in the world.

The creation of the alternative reality by Fox and the rest of the RWNM is a gorgeous example of cult propaganda. Note that a cult also always denigrates all other sources of information in order to keep the prisoners indoctrinated. And obviously anything that threatens the fantasy world is "fake news."

The fascinating thing is you can still do this in an open society, with the internet, in 2019. The PRC and Soviets brutally suppressed contrary information but it turns out you don't have to do that at all. If you just tell your people what they want to hear they will turn off reality in order to protect their prejudices and delusions. People imprison themselves.

Now add in that conservatives have created an entire parallel culture with their own madrassas and churches and they can pass along their ignorance of the outside world to their children. These become multi-generational cult families. The compound is in their heads. Wrap it in religion and logic itself is deliberately discarded in preference to faith, as a virtue! They have their own universities too, and I assume eventually they will have their own dating sites.

Castro closing up his NH offices.

They're dropping like flies, now. O'Rourke gone. Gabbard, Harris, Klobuchar, Castro, Booker all but gone.

We will be down to Warren, Biden, Sanders by Super Tuesday. Pete will be the last to go. I'm not counting the pay-for-plays (Delaney, Steyer) nor the Quixotes (Yang, Williamson).

A drawn out three-way probably helps Biden. If Bernie negotiates a surrender to Warren obviously that helps her.

I thought Castro like O'Rourke left the race with their reputations intact and are viable for some office down the road seeing as they're both not that old. Castro was informed and passionate about immigration just like O'Rourke was about guns. Look forward to both of them making statewide bids in Texas in the coming years.

I'm sure we'll be seeing a lot more from Castro, O'Rourke, Harris, and Buttigieg.

Gillibrand, Insley, and Klobuchar probably shot their wad.

Ryan, who knows? Everybody says he's a young man in a hurry but I never saw it.

Klobuchar is still in. She'll be in Iowa and I think she has offices in New Hampshire still.
