Paying their fair taxes is fair, and not punishment (see: loopholes). Raising taxes to an obscene amount is NOT fair, IMO. There is a difference.


Edit: if the US closed all the loopholes....JFC......TONS of money coming in.

You realize we used to have a 90% top marginal rate, right? Then the republican convinced morons and dupes across America that it wasn’t somehow fair that they made 90% of the money and paid 90% of the taxes.

Think this through, guys. Think of ALL the tax breaks, credits, money being funneled through other countries to avoid US taxes. Rein all that money in.....

That's quite a bit. And that is an understatement.

Apply the corporate tax across the board, as it stands now as far as income; no shelters, no breaks, no anything. You earned this? This is what you pay. Period.

I've always been there. I earned this much via whatever, I pay this much in tax. Simple.

Edit: not the Flat Tax, or whatever. Use the percentages we have currently, just cut out all the loopholes/breaks. I'm willing to compromise.

THAT BEING SAID, I commend the rich that VOLUNTARILY give to causes and such. That is awesome. My point is one should not be penalized simply because they have more money.
