They see a safe, affable, elder statesmen whom they could have a beer with, and who won't force SCAAAARY socialist healthcare on them (all while a majority of them already qualify for Medicare :rolleyes:). It's incredibly dumb, but it is what it is.

Possibly true.... but may be a better position to take for electoral college success.

ACA is as popular as it has ever been. Dems should own it and run on it.

Ted Lieu is the only one I see constantly hammering on this issue, especially the part where Republicans say they love existing conditions, yet are suing to remove that from coverage.

One of the candidates need to step up and run with it as well.

And got the majority back in 2018.

In 2011 it was at something like -10 in approval, now even Fox News poll has it at +9.

Medicare for all speaks well to the far left... not so much to the rest of the electorate.

I am still waiting for all the Tesla's to change the world like he promised. Hell I am waiting for him to deliver the volume of Tesla's he promised. The guy is a good hype man but is full of it like everyone else.

Right now they're the dog chasing the car. If they catch the car it will all turn back because it will not be a comprehensive solution. It will be some watered down centrist crap that keeps the money flowing into both parties.

Just like immigration. Just like guns. Just like trade.

Fact is the people who want to solve the actual problems are not getting enough traction to solve them. And looking at how the entire planet is melting right now we've already gone over the cliff on climate change.

ACA only started polling well again because Trump was going to get rid of it and replace it with nothing. Not because the program itself was all that popular (other than the patient protections, healthcare costs kept rising and nobody likes means testing).

It doesnt matter why, it matters that people dont want it repealed. If the GOP is going to make that part of the platform again their numbers will tank...again.

Scooby can be as obtuse as he likes, the facts prove him wrong. Once 'Murica realized getting rid of the ACA was going to hurt them they turned on the idea like Trump turns on someone in his administration. That is why Trump is again talking about his new plan that no one seems to know anything about...he is hoping that will distract people but no one is buying it. Even the Faux Zombie Watchers dont buy that crap anymore.

This is a net loser for the GOP. This isnt 2010 like Scooby seems to think it is.

Well the dems can and should do better but replacing it with nothing and having zero plan for healthcare isn’t going to be popular.

Didn't they recently build an extra assembly line (or 2?) on site in an extraordinary amount of time in order to meet a recent output deadline he made?
