Andrew Yang is also running. He's a single issue UBI candidate.

Listening to KFAN, where they have Kepler (not USCHO's Kepler, but a local political analyst) on once a week, Klobuchar is basically on the brink of running, from the sounds of it. The insiders feel that she could have legs to run, but with EVERYONE tossing their hat in, she's waiting it out for now.

I said it on here when I saw her speak a few months ago it is a foregone conclusion she will run. I have worked her speeches half a dozen times at least and she always had the same tenor to them. (Minnesota Nice) A couple weeks after the Bro Kavanaugh hearings when I saw her she was way more aggressive and much more in the vein of a party leader not Congressional Senator. She gained a lot of support and notoriety with those hearings.

I wonder what excuse Bernie and his Bros will come up with when he gets trounced this time...

It'll be the same, "Screwed by the evil pro-Wall Street establishment!" nonsense, particularly if they end up nominating Gillibrand.

Should Pete Buttigieg be in the first list or second? His announcement was that he formed an "exploratory" committee, not the more formal I'm announcing my candidacy for the nomination or president.

Nope. UBI is a check, not a job.

What is a dishdasha?

Re: 2020 Democratic Challengers III: Weekend at Bernie's

Bernie running is... well, it's fraught. On one hand it will give the discussion more of an anchor on the left. On the other hand it will kick up too much 2016 dust.

I'd prefer he not.

Re: 2020 Democratic Challengers III: Weekend at Bernie's

I don't know that I'd give the first 5h!t which democrats run, if democrats would learn to behave like republicans once August rolls around. If Ted Cruz can suck trump's richard, then we dam n well can get behind whoever is likely to come out of the convention wholeheartedly. Virtually all of the names I've seen mentioned would be at least adequate presidents, all would flush things every morning better than the current and previous republican occupants of the White House, and a couple might even be pretty darn good. We simply must embrace Reagan's 11th commandment, at least until we get our nominee elected.
