And why wouldn't she just counter with, "at least I'm not banging porn stars while my spouse is at home with my infant child and then paying them 100K to shut up about it" - and the crowd goes wild! :D

Is there a D candidate that's biding time and letting the present circular firing squad* finish its work? They're doing nothing right now but writing future tweets for the Tweeter in Chief.



*Harris, Warren, Sanders, Biden, and the other announced Ds.

Warren has some charisma that appeals to the educated elite, but should be a nonstarter because she's already vilified and would be Hillary 2.0 with the working class whites.

Everyone else will be Kerry redux.

Yeah. Kinda what I said.

If the Dems mess this up by putting up someone less appealing than Trump among moderates in swing states - I expect we'll get what we deserve.

And my point is the 'appealing' part matters. The moderate part does not.

The more charismatic candidate has won every election in my lifetime with the possible exception of HW over Dukakis.

Is that a joke? Nobody was less charismatic that Dukakis.

I'd say Dump put the nail in the coffin of the idea you have to be appealing. What you have to be is memorable -- you need to occupy positive space, even if you are not occupying it positively. Dump is many horrific things, but he is not a wallflower. Dumpy gets noticed.

Actually, I think when both candidates roll a 1 or 2 for charisma, it goes to the next tie-breaker.

Charisma is why Beto needs to be seriously considered if he’s in. People like giving him money, too.
Even if he’s not the most progressive on policy, his charisma can go a long way

I was just turning 7 at the time. I honestly don't recall HW being Mr. Party, but if he was compared to Dukakis, then my theory still holds.

Dukakis only won because Gary Hart was found out. He would have walked away with the nomination because he was all charisma.

Hart was also deeply rooted in the DNC. He was an excellent JFK-clone. He really blew it.
