I believe in the progressive wing of the party to fix more problems in this country and I believe in the centrists to do less harm than the derper party. Whether it's the debt that you pretend to care about, the environment, anything related to science for that matter, not getting involved in more endless wars that only cause more suffering, not making the country more undemocratic than it already is, slowing the growth of income for the 1%, or anything related to racism and immigration, the centrists are at the very least slightly better on all of these issues even if I have various critiques of them. Saying both sides are to blame on when one is pouring a garden hose on the fire and the other is pouring gas on it is silly.I view it more in terms of believers vs non-believers. You and a lot of the other posters believe in the Dems where Brent and I don’t believe in either party.
Yeah Kepler is to blame for a bunch of racists voting for fascism.
Kepler's not to blame, even though he may dream he has such influence.
I've asked this question before on this board. Has anyone ever wondered why candidates from the Democratic party, nationwide, struggle to even achieve 50% of the popular vote? Think about it. The positions they espouse should be extremely popular. You want to tax into submission the 1% holding most of the wealth in this country. You want to hold wall street and corporations' feet to the fire in terms of regulation. You favor a relaxed view of personal rights compared with the right. Jeebus, you should be getting 85% of the vote.
You know why you don't? YOU'RE DIKKS! (I don't mean you, literally. I'm referring in general to the populace of the left). You're a bunch of obnoxious, paternalistic, condescending, snarky, smartest guys in the room twats that just aren't that likeable. You're basically a bunch of Greg Marmalards scrambling around running for class president. 50% of the country doesn't like you, personally, because of your attitude towards the rest of us, so why vote for you no matter what you promise? And the meaner you get, the more you call the other side racist, fascist, deplorable, etc..., the more the heals will get dug in until it won't matter what you say, you will never receive their vote.
Now, maybe you can still carry 50% of the vote, +1, and win the elections and control the country. We're actually probably better off if that happens. But don't treat people like s*** and then act surprised when they don't vote for you.

How are you measuring this though? Hillary was a uniquely terrible candidate who got over 50%. If you're talking all the down ballot races and combining them or something then that's a different story.Kepler's not to blame, even though he may dream he has such influence.

That back flaring up this morning, Hovey?
Greg Marmalarde was a Republican
And your whole thesis dies at the end. The GOP has been treating people like [bleep] for years and people still vote for them. The Dems may look down on people but at least they usually do what is in the people's best interest. The GOP condescends to people, lies to them, steals from them and THEN bends them over the barrel.
So no offense, but if people are too stupid to realize the annoying no it all lawyer who is defending them is better than the date rapist who violates them then constantly then they get what they deserve.
Yeah, the Republican party has been treating a good chunk of the country very badly too. That's why they're only good for about 50% when lucky. That's what you get when you act that way. The 50% that you treat badly will have nothing to do with you. But someone wondered why all the Republicans aren't going to flock to the Democratic side, even though a lunatic will be representing the head of the Republican ticket. Why? He's their lunatic.
New immigrant arrivals have fallen, mainly due to a decrease in the number of unauthorized immigrants coming to the U.S. The fall in the growth of the unauthorized immigrant population can partly be attributed to more Mexican immigrants leaving the U.S. than coming in.
How many immigrants are apprehended at the U.S.-Mexico border?
The number of apprehensions at the U.S.-Mexico border has sharply decreased over the past decade or so, from more than 1 million in fiscal 2006 to 303,916 in fiscal 2017. Today, there are more apprehensions of non-Mexicans than Mexicans at the border. In fiscal 2017, apprehensions of Central Americans at the border exceeded those of Mexicans for the third time since 2014.
What extreme?
Yep, I'm just a dick who likes dead babies, taxing rich people, and laughing at those fcking hicks from the middle of the country.
Sometimes, it's best to just play the part they framed you for.
But it’s ok to hate gays, trans, and Arabs!
