Re: 2020 Democratic Challengers III: The Wrath of Warren

Who? 27 year olds who are fully healthy and don't want it? Where do you meet them?

I'm pretty happy with my current insurance. My portion of the premium is affordable and the coverage is good. My company is self-insured and contracts the administration of the plan out to Aetna.

I also understand many people are not so lucky, and I think it's stupid that my health insurance is tied to my employer.

Here's the history on why it's through the employer.

We ****ed up. And we never fixed it.

Re: 2020 Democratic Challengers III: The Wrath of Warren

Yeah, you like it. Until they **** you. Then you don't like it.

From Elizabeth Warren's Facebook.

Sounds like a bunch of "centrist" BS to me ;)

I like my insurance...I would be all for a change that makes sure EVERYONE has insurance though. Then again I understand logic which is not something the average person seems to comprehend anymore.

"The needs of the many, outweigh the needs of the few".

Re: 2020 Democratic Challengers III: The Wrath of Warren

The cost of health care (not insurance, care) should be born by the state, full stop. It's a classic problem like national defense. We don't sell people "defense insurance." We just have a f-cking army that the USG pays and that's it.

Health insurance should be an army of doctors and nurses and technicians and researchers which the USG pays. You get preventative check ups whenever you want. The doctors decide on the care you need based on medicine. There's no hospital skimming off the top. There's no insurance company eating your premiums and squeezing your benefits. All of those middle entities are parasites and they consume much of the cost of current health care.

The people who matter here are patient and doctor and their medical support. Everybody chasing dollars can go find another line of work.

A lot of people like their current insurance. Fix / improve Obamacare and provide a public option will sell to the general population better than “everyone is going on Medicare”

Again, it’s not insurance....it is coverage.

Have you ever had to use it for anything “insurancey”

Have monthly need for scripts?

Sounds like France. Does the state pay for med school too?

Under your system, I believe there should be a modest co-payment of a few bucks ($5?).

Get used to seeing it...the more she gets accolades the more that will become the narrative. (she is also a Corporatist ya know...hence her advocating for the Consumer Protection Agency!!!) It is gonna be Bizzaro World man :D

Speaking of Bizzaro World:

Well under free education which happens next, sure.

For as long as we still have wages and money, sure.

Drudge is all conservatives. She would win that lane easily. Her and the nameless idiot that was on the right end.

Re: 2020 Democratic Challengers III: The Wrath of Warren

Question: is Mike Gravel going to get into the debates?
He needs to get to 65K donors by the July one I think to qualify? Not sure if he's there yet, his account says he's close.

Also I don't see where Scooby's article addressed that.

Re: 2020 Democratic Challengers III: The Wrath of Warren

Meh, he's better than like 80% of the dem candidates just solely based on his anti-imperialist position and outright disdain for diamond Joe and some of the other bad centrists.
