2019 Atlantic Hurricane season - what's in a name?

I was dinking around with the (extremely) long range GFS. It's forecasting a tropical storm or hurricane hit Rhode Island on 9/19. :eek: :p

Edit: I see twitter is already having fun with that forecast. :D

And the next run brought it into NC instead. Since it's showing an East Coast hit that far out, that likely means it'll either stay out to sea or run through the Caribbean, if it even develops.

The current Euro model is not good. A possible NYC strike.

this far out on the last one and they had alabama as a target.

And the previous run had the system make landfall near West Palm Beach as a tropical storm. The models are notoriously bad with storms that haven't even developed yet, like this one.
