2019-20 D1 Scores

After Auby made a number of really good saves, Madelaine Wethington scores her first as a Gopher on one Auby wants back. Minnesota up 1-0 after a period.

Re: 2019-20 D1 Scores

Colgate showed some life in the last five minutes of the second period, forcing Sydnee Scobee (on in relief of Alex Gulstene for unknown reasons) to make some very nice saves. Prior to that, this had been about as lopsided as a 1-0 game can be.

Then a really pretty Potomak-to-Wente-to-Potomak passing play made it 2-0, and that's how the period ended.

Re: 2019-20 D1 Scores

Did anyone hear anything about a possible injury to Caitrin Lonergan in today's game?

From the Clarkson Roundtable

But both Rhyen McGill and Caitrin Lonergan got hurt. An Orange player fell on Lonergan who was slow to get back to the bench, and eventually was helped back to the dressing room with a trainer. The McGill injury: a few shifts after Friesen nets the game-winner, McGill gets hurt... but I couldn't really tell how. I rewound the stream, and it seemed like a stick to the upper body, but I couldn't tell much more than that (maybe hits her neck or an upper arm?). McGill dropped her gloves and held near her head while trying to get back to bench, but she went down and stayed down near center and getting taken off via stretcher. A rough outing and I hope both players are okay and we hear good news soon.

Thanks! Jesus H. Christ, what the hell is going on tonight? BC's Delaney Belinskas was taken off on a stretcher too after a terrifying 16 minute delay.

Minnesota 3, Colgate 0 after a period. Shots are 14-1. Heise forced a turnover and scored unassisted, then won a face off that made its way back to Knowles, put it into the net. On the third goal, Heise brought the puck into the zone, froze the goalie, and dished to Zumwinkle on the back door.

Re: 2019-20 D1 Scores

Congrats to freshman Anna Segedi with a hat trick in St. Lawrence’s 4-1 won over UNH.
She picked up where she left off with a couple of first-period goals, helping SLU to a 2-1 lead over UNH in the second. UNH has a free stream of this game.

Re: 2019-20 D1 Scores

The Wildcats score four consecutive goals to close out the second period and head to the intermission with a 5-3 lead.

And it ends in a tie. Two extra attacker goals for SLU to force overtime which remained deadlocked.

Re: 2019-20 D1 Scores

Minnesota 2, MSU 0 after a period. The listed shot totals of 9-6 have only a tenuous relationship to the actual game.

Re: 2019-20 D1 Scores

Minnesota 3, MSU 0 after two. It was a sloppy second period, including Grace Zumwinkle missing a completely open net from six feet away.

I'm still trying to figure out how she could miss that. I guess all is well though as she got her 2nd goal of the game in the 3rd period which thanks to FLOHockey I didn't see. Maybe I'm on the budget plan where I only get to see two periods of a game.
