2018 West Regional: Sioux Falls to St. Paul

Re: 2018 West Regional: Sioux Falls to St. Paul

Coming into this, Mankato was 0-4 in first round, UMD 8-0, and I need a refresher what was SCSU in first round? I know they went at least 0-7 under Dahl. Saw Motzko is 5-5 since 2010 and 5-7 so was their first round streak 0-9? Also first time SCSU lost to Air Force in D1 era they were 9-0? AF vs UMD championship was all to be expected really but everyone had Mankato vs SCSU in the championship. Bummed WCHA is out but Tech played a tremendous game its a shame they lost

FWIW, everyone had St. Cloud, but on CHN 57% of people picked UMD.

Air Force made this one interesting at the end - nothing to hang their heads about.

UMD - this is a young team with lots of potential. Have fun in St. Paul.

Crazy ending to the Duluth-Mankato game. Did anyone else think that they should have reviewed video in OT when there was a Kato player IN THE NET and the puck hit him? I thought maybe the puck could have crossed the line before it hit him. Sure enough, less than a minute later they Bulldogs score.

Another stat to show college hockey's parity: It has now been 13 years since the defending national champion has reached the Frozen Four the following year (Denver 04, 05).

Didn't make it across the line. Darn it.
