That's why I said single rant. OVERALL, Earl rules all. Not even close. For a single, one-off rant......Lee Elia and Uncle Jerry are up there.
And don't bring up Manager's Corner. Probably knew about that before you were a gleam in your daddy's eye, so to speak.![]()
I remember one game Weaver walked out to the mound and stood there with his back to the HP umpire, his arms folded not saying a word to the pitcher just waiting for the ump to came out and break it up. As soon as the ump said something Weaver spun around and flew into a rage. One of his better 'shows' I might add.OVERALL, Earl rules all

Wonder how this ends?
It begins and ends with merchandising.
Tim Tebow: The Flamethrower!
He was hbp, 2 so, and hit into a double play that scored a run.
The most amazing thing about the Tebow story is that it's not the first time a reigning Cy Young award winner has faced a Heisman Trophy winner.
Per the Mets announcers, Frank Viola faced Bo Jackson in 1989. Except that game actually counted because Bo was good enough to play in a real game.
