The USCHO Fan Forum has migrated to a new plaform, xenForo. Most of the function of the forum should work in familiar ways.
Please note that you can switch between light and dark modes by clicking on the gear icon in the upper right of the main menu bar.
We are hoping that this new platform will prove to be faster and more reliable. Please feel free to explore its features.
Quick Thoughts:
They must really trust Duane or they wanted to see what he was made out of because he was on the ice a lot. Probably helps that he is on special teams and there were certainly plenty of special teams opportunities.
Every exhibition game is chippy - no different tonight
Truehl looked most comfortable in net - I can't say he was the best but he looked the most comfortable.
Great to see Aldworth with a flashy play - reminds me that he has some amazing hands.

I think Duane is going to give this team some good production this year. His pass to Smith was really good through a tight window. I liked Truehl in net. He has the most college experience of the 3.
As for tonight, not much to talk about other than I thought Shortridge and Truhle both looked good. None of the freshmen stood out... nor did many of the upperclassmen. With so many dressed and Rand rolling (and changing) 5 lines it was really tough to get a read on anyone. Being today was the first "official" day for the coaches to interact with the team, it was a decent showing.
Chippy? Those old men from McGill were gooning it up all night. Lots of stuff after the whistle and some really questionable hits. Seemed like a lot of high sticks from them as well. Those Canadian teams always seem to play a rough game. The goalie kept that game close with an incredible glove hand, but he was whacking everyone that skated near him. Glad to see that for the most part we maintained our composure. Most surprising was that Connor Clifton didn't spend any time in the box! Maybe that C on his sweater will be a calming influence...
