2016 MN Boys Hockey Tourney- Let the Good Locks Flow

Re: 2016 MN Boys Hockey Tourney- Let the Good Locks Flow

Edina lost the section semi-final to Wayzata, otherwise spot on.;-)

Drinkin on a Tuesday?

Crud! I was thinking of the girls state tournament game. Oh well, same basic outcome. David killed Goliath.

Re: 2016 MN Boys Hockey Tourney- Let the Good Locks Flow

I'm not sure I'd call Wayzata or Eden Prairie David, but then again I'm from Coon Rapids. Everyone is Goliath.

I run the MD High School league (www.mshl.org). Any idea that I can steal, I will. And since MN runs the granddaddy of all Hockey Tournaments, I'll play Willie Sutton and steal every good idea they have.

I stole the running clock, 4 man officiating, introduce the entire squads for the QF and Finals. Too bad we don't have cheerleaders for hockey in Maryland. I'm working on it, though.
So that was you on Twitter today!:)

Somewhat related, Edina's and Wayzata's Junior Gold teams are competing in the USA Hockey HS National Championship. March 17-21 in Ashburn & Reston, VA.

I'll be there playing scorekeeper & timekeeper.

Cool, I know some kids on the Edina team, they went to nationals last year. I plan to go watch some of the State tourney this weekend at my local rink since I know so many kids on these teams between As and Bs (both at same arena).

Do you follow John Millea on Twitter? He's the MSHL communications person and does a fantastic job writing & tweeting about all MN HS tournaments. I would definitely reach out to him.

I guess I know why Class A quarter finals aren't on the radio...pretty boring games. Hard for the unseeded teams to keep up with the seeds.

Re: 2016 MN Boys Hockey Tourney- Let the Good Locks Flow

Goodness, this Johnson kid on TRF is incredible. Once he gets going he really flies. Easily the best player on the ice in either game this session.

Re: 2016 MN Boys Hockey Tourney- Let the Good Locks Flow

Great game, Hermantown has got to be getting nervous, they probably weren't expecting it to be this close.

Really impressed by the number of Litchfield fans.

Re: 2016 MN Boys Hockey Tourney- Let the Good Locks Flow

Not a lot of defense so far in the third period. Yikes, 9-3 now.

Re: 2016 MN Boys Hockey Tourney- Let the Good Locks Flow

Actually, Hermantown just needs to stop scoring, show some sportsmanship. I'd be embarrassed to be a parent of a kid scoring at this point. 11-3, 3 minutes remaining.

FINALLY a competitive game!! The 4/5A game between St. Cloud Cathedral and St. Paul Academy is a dandy!
