2016 Atlantic Hurricane Season: Non-Minnesotans arguing about the weather...

Re: 2016 Atlantic Hurricane Season: Non-Minnesotans arguing about the weather...

That was the most interesting one of all of the pictures which I have received, mostly from https://twitter.com/capitalweather.

Here is another, also from St. Augustine, FL.

That is a Pulitzer level photo.

Uh, why?

This isn't nearly the pictures from Cuba, which showed a LOT of concrete houses where blown to bits- as if a earthquake hit.

How it some blown foliage on a road some significant picture? We get 10% of that during a bad summer storm. Better the tress take the hits than the homes.

I'd much, much, much rather see that than if it were the aftermath appearance of a tornado.

I think he was referring to the quality more than the actual devestation.

Get a chainsaw. Get a truck. Get to work.

Agree. Those folks got three days of warning. Tornadoes give you three minutes of warning, if that.

The NASA Micohoud Assembly Facility (a bit east of New Orleans) and the colocated USDA National Finance Center were badly damaged by a tornado today. Far as I know, nobody hurt.

Heard about that. Saw some pictures of the tornadoes posted online from guys who work the tugboats on the river. Looked really nasty over that way.

About ten days ago, it was quite apparent that the skunks were awakening from their winter hibernation....

Absolutely crazy extremes here this week. Topped 70[SUP]o[/SUP] yesterday afternoon. Into the low teens tomorrow night.

Same here. Central MD is ground zero for three of the worst animals on the planet: skunks, possums, and turkey vultures. I'm hoping that a March frost will somehow kill off an entire year of them.

be careful what you wish for, you might unleash a plague...

skunks favor insects, like grasshoppers, bees, beetles, beetle larvae, and crickets, and target these food sources during the spring and summer when the pests are most plentiful.
