2016/2017 Lowell Thread: Hoping for Chicago pt 2

First of all, I don't root for anyone in the press box. Secondly, I shouldn't even reply, but here's my tweet...really seems to be that I'm rooting for the Wildcats:

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">I'll be at Game 3 of UNH-UMass Lowell series at 4 pm. Give the edge to River Hawks. UML has kept Tyler Kelleher scoreless in first 2 games.</p>— Jeff Cox (@JeffCoxSports) <a href="https://twitter.com/JeffCoxSports/status/840946306537394176">March 12, 2017</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
Pay no attention to the troll. He only embarrasses himself. Just put him on ignore Jeff.

Re: 2016/2017 Lowell Thread: Hoping for Chicago pt 2

See everyone at the garden at 5pm on Friday.

Looking forward to our last conference match up with the Benders. Hopefully we take them out of the tourney like we did the 2 other times we met. Then I suppose we become BC fans? That should be the best help to our pairwise I would think.

UML's pregame starts at 2:00 at Anthem Kitchen and Bar at Faneuil Hall Marketplace (South Market Building) as it's St. Patrick's Day and the usual pregame location at The Harp isn't available for obvious reasons. If Lowell wins Friday, pregame will be at The Harp on Saturday.

Lowell's tournament page is also up HERE with the usual array of information including tickets, pregame location, directions, etc.

Wish I was still a student too. Great deal for $10 includes a ticket for BOTH nights and bus transportation each night. Wow!

Please win this tournament. Any of the other 3 teams winning would really suck.

Re: 2016/2017 Lowell Thread: Hoping for Chicago pt 2

With today's smaller than usual crowd of 3,145, Lowell falls just 238 fans short of 100,000 at Tsongas over 18 dates for this season.

Good for you guys!

They've done this the past several years for the students and many take advantage of it, always selling out allotments. The ultimate was Lowell's 2013 Frozen Four student deal for $150 that included round trip coach bus, lodging at Marriot Residence Inn, and an all-session ticket. Two sold out buses of students made the trip.

Lowell has their act together as within a couple minutes of the game being over today, emails went out to all season ticket holders regarding how to purchase Garden tickets, pregame bar location, etc. and the tournament info page I linked to in the original post was already up on Athletics website. Been this way for the last 6 years beginning with 2012 NCAAs in Bridgeport, they keep the fans informed and have all logistics nailed down.

The only fail I've see during this period was the student tickets/bus to Albany regionals last year where it wasn't arranged until the last minute and then they pulled the plug on it almost right away. Was pretty uncharacteristic of Lowell's efforts in recent years so I consider that an anomaly.
