I didn't know that (seeing I care about XC/T&F more :p )

Helicopter ;)

Sorry... nobody is quite the smother like you are ;) :p

Mum les assured me I was a Helicopter and my kid assured me I wasn't even close. :D

Sad the season is over for them. It is my favorite sport.

Mid-week before the annual VT series and no sign of the usual, abundant UML and VT trash talking. Unusually quiet. Where's JCarter? Patronick? Something seems amiss.

Don't you remember? He likes us now. :D

In all seriousness, as much as I love to have a flamefest with you guys, and as much as I like pointing out how stupid you are... I've come to enjoy both the riverhawks and their fans. Don't tell anyone.

The Husky fans have been taking up much of my focus recently, especially Gr8sk8 who seems like he'd fit in better at Lowell then NU, but whatever. It's hard to really get into it too much this weekend. If Lowell stood a little better chance of walking away with HE points it would be one thing. But Vermont has better numbers. Defensively they are sitting in the #2 spot compared to Lowell being down the ladder at #8. That may not necessarily be that big of deal except offensively Lowell is only marginally better coming in at #4 v. #5. Now, normally I'd call that a likely split on the weekend, but after reviewing the competition I notice that much of Lowell's offensive numbers are from beating up the prep school in Colorado. Alas, despite home ice I just can't see how Lowell manages a point and thus arguing with Patronick is merely beating my head against rock for no reason. Sorry.

Congrats to the Men's Soccer Team on their 2-1 victory over Hartford tonight, clinching their first ever America East Regular Season Championship.

13-1-2 and they sit home... what a shame!

edit: seriously though... what a run...

Fun game to be at last night. There could be four AE teams (as of now) in the NCAA Tournament. The fact that the winner of the regular season can't is just horrid. So proud of the seniors, and what they sacrificed to get to this point. They knew all along they'd never have a shot to go further, and they still stuck it out. The next generation of Lowell soccer players has a goal to reach now thanks to these four players.

If everyone returns (read: No Transfers Out!), and the incoming recruits can play at this level, this could be more than a one-season thing.
