Re: 2016/2016 Lowell Thread: Hoping for Chicago

Before tonight, Lowell was 0-5-0 this season when trailing by 2 goals at any point in a game and 3-45-4 since Norm took over as head coach. Huge comeback and a much-needed win. Lowell will be no worse than tied for 4th when the night is over. Now go get 2 more points tomorrow!

Down 2-0, we thought that it was going to be a very long night. Much needed W. It was my first time to the Matthews - and it did not disappoint. #obstructmyview

That's not good. I didn't think too much about that hit at the time and I didn't see the replay. Last night's game was pretty chippy at times. Someone will need to step up tonight.

Same here. If anything, looked like a nice, clean hit and then Campbell gets a penalty for roughing. Thought it odd.

Then there's the penalty Fyrer completely blows as CJ is heading off the ice, is slashed by a NU player, and falls to the ice right in front of Fyrer. And all Fyrer can do is yell at CJ to get up and hurry off the ice.

With the four losses in a row, every game becomes really important now. A win tonight would put Lowell four points up on UNH and give them the tiebreaker as well. A loss would tie UNH with Lowell, and they'd have a game in hand as well.

Things are crazy tight in the standings. UConn up 1-0 on Merrimack after two. Looking at the standings and hoping for a Merrimack come back. A win by UConn would have them tied with Lowell when the puck is dropped tonight. They will also have a game at hand and the tie breaker.

I hate to say this but let's look after ourselves... it'll fall into place

Great win for the boys last night.

Apparently when the team isn't playing their fourth game in eight days, it doesn't affect players legs as much, and they can continue to play hard in the third period. Wonder what the UNH fan who mocked us for saying that for the last game ... wonder what he's saying now.

The real problem is the guy in the number 8 sweater

I couldn't agree more. I'm not impressed with the decision to do this today during Patriots parade. Neely stopped doing regular weekly interviews on the radio this season as well. Seems like he can't handle the accountability aspect of his job.

Firing the coach is the wrong move. In order for the Bruins to become relevant again, Neely and Sweeney have to go.
It was totally wrong to do this on the same day as the Patriots parade. Hey Sweeney, about getting some decent players
on the team and then not to trade them away.

<--- cynical person here
Pro hockey isn't really about winning, it is about $$. Look at what happens when someone has an up-down contract. They can have great #s, being playing well and they will send them down for a few games because they don't want to pay them the extra $ if they stay up for X games.
