2015 World Championship Thread

Re: 2015 World Championship Thread

Ovechkin ready for a battle against USA.

Canada put together a team that would be 30 mil over the cap in the NHL. That's just not fair.

Meanwhile we're putting out what could be described at best as a C squad, and turning out one of the best group stage performances in years. What a strange game.

What is unfair too is I'd like to know why the IIHF allows NHL players to supplement rosters for a semi-final game? Were they drunk when they thought this one up? Wow.

Re: 2015 World Championship Thread

So they're not showing USA-Russia, and instead showing some idiotic eurotrash ball? Stupid.

Game 1, Preakness...understandable.

No different than Coyle showing up very late
Not Ovechkins fault he went to game 7. They want best players representing their country

I agree that the semi-final game seems a bit late. However it was Russia's choice to keep a roster spot empty and potentially hurt themselves in doing so for the entire preliminary rounds in order to keep a spot open for Ovechkin.

Re: 2015 World Championship Thread

At least he wants to play.

Where are Pavelski and Kessel?

Re: 2015 World Championship Thread

Unless of course they are injured...

Re: 2015 World Championship Thread

1st period was fairly even, Russia controlled early but the USA had spurts of good scoring chances. Both goalies look sharp.
