2015 Friendship Four - Brown, Colgate, Mass-Lowell, Northeastern

Re: 2015 Friendship Four - Brown, Colgate, Mass-Lowell, Northeastern

...And for the record, I'm still ****ed off at NESN for letting Don Orsillo go.)

For the record, re-direct your bile to the Red Sox. NESN is nothing more than a Red Sox/Bruins puppet. The decision was made by the Red Sox brass and, yes, it was a travesty to the point where I'm questioning my allegiance.

Speaking of which, Thanksgiving dinner for me will be at the airport. (Not much to be thankful about so probably just Dunkin Donuts.) Bangers and mash in Belfast on Friday.

I also think that Orsillo got the shaft.

He's calling the Providence-NJIT basketball game on FS1 right now, if you want to hear his wonderful voice one last time. His basketball play-by-play is as great as his baseball calls.

I'm sure you know he's a Northeastern guy.

So where are people staying and for how long? I saved up vacation time and will be over for about a week, staying in the Titanic quarter, going over tonight.

Some of the NU people (but not the team) are at the Ibis City Centre Hotel. Staying on for another week or so to mooch off the relatives in Dublin and Cork.

Bangers and mash is a pretty English meal. An Ulster Fry for breakfast after you land would be a more fitting choice.

I am flying over tomorrow morning to support Colgate.

ooooh breakfast fry up (English version is probably not much different- fried bread, fried tomato, fried egg, fried bacon, fried potato). I miss it. YUM!!

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone over there!

I personally prefer a full Scottish. The black pudding "pucks" are surprising good and you can occasionally get haggis as well.

YUMMMMMM!!! Haggis with whiskey sauce. You know how to hurt a girl.

Belfast and the rest of Ulster is a pretty English place. I'm giving fair warning to my arteries about the Ulster Fry. Yummm.

Will be interesting to see what the attendance is like at these games...cool for the kids but it seems forced like the NFL in London. I can't imagine many locals care too much about US college hockey. NU has played Lowell fairly well the last few years...

Re: 2015 Friendship Four - Brown, Colgate, Mass-Lowell, Northeastern

Ok, I was wrong. I would've preferred Tom Caron to this.

Re: 2015 Friendship Four - Brown, Colgate, Mass-Lowell, Northeastern

The play-by-play guy literally just referred to someone on Brown as Kevin Roy. Is this real life???

Re: 2015 Friendship Four - Brown, Colgate, Mass-Lowell, Northeastern

According to the play-by-play guy in the first game, playing for Brown.

As far as I understand, Jim Connolly is broadcasting the game for us on radio w bob... maybe there's work law reasons for why they can't put him on TV, but as far as I know he's there

Re: 2015 Friendship Four - Brown, Colgate, Mass-Lowell, Northeastern

The Scoreboard page on USCHO indicates that Friday's game between Brown and Colgate is an ECAC game and the game between UMass-Lowell and Northeastern is a Hockey East game.

Will these games count in the ECAC and HE league standings, or will they be counted as non-league games?

Both games on Friday were league games that count in league standings.
