With 24 conference games, couldn't BC and the other HEA teams still have two more OOC games (10 in all)? From what I understand, BC's OOC will be:
2 vs. Duluth
2 vs. St. Lawrence
1 @ Syracuse
1 @ Harvard (regular season)
1 vs. Harvard (Beanpot semis, should be at Walter Brown)
1 Beanpot Finals (Hearing this is likely to be at the TD Garden)
We lost three OOC games thanks to the addition of Merrimack... smh

Are the Gophers going to add a couple non-conference games Jan 2-3?

Funny thing is Lindenwood is the one I can at least kind of get; an out of conference team throwing a bone to the up-and-coming program that's not COMPLETELY across the country.Lindenwood, Lindenwood, Lindenwood, Lindenwood, Lindenwood, Lindenwood

BC has never played Lindenwood as far as I'm aware. Also our out of conference schedule was pretty solid last year. Not great but solid. That sort of thing worked for BC this year
Ditto on the B16 thing. But like you're saying it's *every* OOC game this year for UW/UM. That's the problem.I'll give UM PSU because of the B16 thing...whats wrong with adding some of the top 10 contenders?
I've said it before.Teams dodging tough schedules?
Yale is a return trip from two years ago. If you're going to go all the way to Penn State, you may as well play two games. After that, the Whitecaps can give the Gophers a tougher game than most teams, and if they can't, what is lost? Wisconsin figures to be better than anybody Minnesota could schedule out of conference, so it isn't likely it will run into somebody in the postseason that is head-and-shoulders stronger than what the Gophers have already seen. Much as I'd like to see some cupcake-eating team show up at Ridder every other year, it likely isn't in Minnesota's best interest to wedge a contending team into the schedule on some weekend when Leveille or Potomak is going to be gone. So it may be a problem, just likely not a problem for the Gophers.Ditto on the B16 thing. But like you're saying it's *every* OOC game this year for UW/UM. That's the problem.
