I've heard that Nick Carpenito is a pretty good recruiter (see Elmira's continued success as an example). Since Claudia and Ali were there the last few seasons and nothing changed, you'd have to suspect that Nick joined this summer, was too late to meaningful influence this year's incoming recruits, and focused on next years class and this is the reward for that approach.

Seems pretty unusual for a graduating senior that plays for one of the Upper Midwest club teams (Mission, Little Caesars, CYA, Honeybaked, etc.) who has committed to a D1 school to not be announced on their website in January. They usually get those up ASAP for the publicity. Makes one wonder about whether the player is really committed to Union or whether Union is really committed to her .......

Minnesota HS is a different story, but still it would be typical for a committed graduating senior to have shown up in the local paper at least.

This all sounds like Union came up very empty recruiting this year and is now trolling through anyone who is left (probably borderline D1/D3 kids) to see if there is someone they can take to fill out the roster next season...
