I don't think there is much of a chance that McCloskey will coach anywhere in the US anytime soon.
I thought Michael Corleone closed the door on McCloskey's return.

Here is a link to a story that links to the full report on OSU coach
http://deadspin.com/read-the-full-r... he has knowledge or a recollection of them).
Other than the report making it sound as though some of the witnesses got together to rehearse their lines prior to the interviews, unless this impression was solely the function of how the investigator chose to categorize and summarize the evidence, it sounds like this guy needs some professional help.
(And a 12 page report! Seems quite thorough...and according to the report Handrahan contradicts himself...after claiming that he doesn't recollect uttering some of the alleged comments he then apparently claims that his alleged comments were taken out of context, thereby necessarily implying that he has knowledge or a recollection of them).
I can't imagine why this wouldn't be viewed as a great opportunity. You are in a premiere league, in a recruiter's paradise, with a program that can only go up. Add in the enthusiasm brought by the success of the men's prorgram, and I would take this job myself, if they viewed U10 coaching as "equivalent."
Check my prior posts. I must confess, I wish I was as good of a Power Ball prognosticator as I was regarding Coach Potter. No I am not her husband or a relative. I am a Trinity Alum and have never set foot in Minnesota although I would like to go fishing there sometime soon! Sorry to disavow your theory. In fact, I have never met the Coach, Rob or her two children. I have only admired her body of work , ethic and leadership as a true beacon for women's hockey for almost the past 20 years. Check out her WIKI page. Is there any more decorated woman's player in the history of USA Hockey?
You can't fake passion nor can you fake being a moral role model (not for long anyway). Potter is the real deal. Whether she wants to Coach at the D1 level or not, it's great that she's leading the lady bantams to the NCAA's tonight and I hope they upset Elmira!
GO TRINITY!
Ok Trinity11, I've taken your advice and checked your previous posts.
Fact #1: You say you are a Trinity alumnus.
Fact #2: The only times you have ever posted on this forum were to advocate and campaign for Jenny Potter.
Fact #3: In a previous post you seemed to have accurate inside information that Jenny Potter was soon to be hired at Trinity.
Fact #4: You can't resist the temptation to go off on a tangent and rail against the previous Olympic coach who had the audacity to shun Jenny.
Fact #5: You suggest that in your free time you recently decided to road-trip to Montreal to watch Jenny Potter play for the Boston Blades against Montreal.
So let me see if I've got this straight:
You paint the picture that you are a Trinity alumnus and booster - seemingly a very passionate one at that. Yet you come on this site and advocate for UMD or Ohio State to pull the rug out from under your own schools feet and hire your irreplaceable coach away from you? Hmmm.
LOL.In any event, Trinity11 (AKA: Jenny or Rob Potter), I wish you good luck. I sincerely hope you land one of those jobs.

To me, the intriguing name is Sisti. I can see where he feels he has done all he can do at Mercyhurst (which is a lot), and would look forward to recruiting and competing in the WCHA. I can also see where UMD would be getting a known quantity, someone who has actually run a first-class program and is not being pushed out the door.
If they were going to hire a male, wouldn't you think UMD could pull a bigger name than Mercyhurst guy?

Crowell has to be the leader in the clubhouse at this point. And good on her. She sports a very solid resume, and she's done a great job a Harvard (especially during the 2013-14 Olympic year.)
and an example of someone who has done more than Sisti in the womens game would be ?.
...crickets .....
Not too many available with that kind of resume....
I would think that Ohio State would be a more likely destination for Sisti. Typically in a situation like this, is Sisti transparent with Mercyhurst? Seems that the whole problem of maintaining integrity within the program gets shifted from UMD to Mercyhurst.
Bigger than the Mercyhurst coach??!! Seriously? The guy has done wonders at a school that has no business being a near constant top ten NCAA Division 1 women's team. He is without question the leading candidate. The only real question is if they can pay him enough to go if he wants to (and he must in order to have thrown his hat in already). The other candidates are only marginally qualified to lead a pre-eminent program back to success - U Mass Boston, a year as an interim D1 coach, these are the qualifications that you think lead the pack over a guy who has already been a significantly successful D1 head coach, brought teams to the Frozen Four, and attracted some of the best Canada and the USA has to offer to ERIE, PA (have you ever been there?)!!?? Please.....
By big name I meant a big name to the people in the Duluth area. The average hockey fan in Duluth isn't impressed by Mercyhurst and their de facto trips to the NCAAs of yesteryear.
The UMD AD seems like the type to place more weight on obvious high-end potential (hiring someone who is trending upward in his/her career) over past performance at a school known for dumping on weak teams.
