Edelman with a ten point drop.![]()
Textbook execution of the defer-on-the-coin-flip gambit.
Collins traded to Browns (?) for 3rd round pick. According to Deadspin, he wanted "Von Miller" money.
Can't figure this one out. Wouldn't it have been better to just use him all year then let him walk and get a pick that way?

Can't figure this out either, unless:
(1) They think his performance has dropped off to the point that other people can replace him, in which case all they're really risking is depth;
(2) They think that there will be a lot of compensatory picks and any compensatory pick they get would be a lot lower than Cleveland's; and
(3) They see value letting others like Hightower, Butler, etc. who are up for negotiation at the end of the year know what happens to people who want big bucks.
Not defending them at all; I don't like this move. Just sayin'.
the real concern is that they are on bye and not going to provide mookie with free money this week![]()
From what I've heard he wasn't listening to the coaches and what I've seen he s*cked in coverage. Not sure what you mean by "sacrificing the future to win now" but Collins' was not traded to stockpile draft picks.My problem with this move is that it makes the team worse this year with no benefit for this season. Belichick has this problem on occasion, as not resigning Ty Law and Dion Branch most likely cost them at least one Super Bowl and maybe two. I understand the notion of keeping the team consistently good and hoping you break through once in awhile but they did go 10 years without a title and Brady's not getting any younger. Sometimes you sacrifice the future to win NOW!. There's no great teams out there in the NFL in either league that they shouldn't be able to get through. Let some of these guys go to free agency if needed.
