I think both teams watched the Rangers/Montreal game last night and wanted to one up them. Five goals in the first period already?????

In a fashion similar to last night's game, both teams this evening seem intent on proving defense is for cowards.

They just can't clear anything out in front of their own net. That first goal was so much pathetic.

Great pipes but I don't like his tempo. Hate to say it, but my favorite is the mountie who sings in in Toronto. The "Star Spangled Banner" is a tough song to sing, and these two are among the few who have the strength and range to do it.

I actually liked Wayne Messmer (who used to do it in Chicago) better.

Hawks just can't match the intensity of LA.

The Kings have owned the area in front of the Hawks' net. Can't have that and expect to win and that is will more than anything. Two of the Kings goals have been of the "garbage" variety.

Also - the Hawks are losing most of the individual battles. On the Kings' 3rd goal, Versteeg fails twice to get the puck out of the zone... boom... goal. On the 4th goal, Kruger easily loses what should have been a 50/50 puck in the neutral zone and boom... goal.

Add all this with Crawford not having a good series and it is what it is.
