Beating CA won't be easy. But I love both eastern match - ups.

I don't think the Rangers are that good, but I can see Montreal making a run this year. They really played a great series and all the parts are working right for them. That said, Chicago is looking like the team to beat and I think we will see a chance at repeating this year.

So much for my ****ing avs/bruins cup final... ****!!!! haha

Let's not discount the Rangers. They do have Lundqvist and some depth. I know we've got Ranger haters on this board, but you can't deny they didn't luck their way into the conference finals.

Why are you such a bad person?

LA - dumbarse valley girls, bandwagon celebrities, Dustin Brown, Mary-Ann Gaborik, and won the Cup two years ago
ANA - The man-love for Selanne baffles me (some people fellate him like he's Ray Bourque), and Perry is a pr!ck if he isn't on your team
NY - New York City, enough said. Plus Sather has failed so hard, for so long on his overpriced FA acquisitions that for some reason, I just want the failure to continue.
MTL - 24 Stanley Cups, the worst of the "HOCKEY IS CANADA'S GAME" attitude, and 1993 was not that long ago.
CHI - The only clear-cut d-bag on the team is Kane, and he's predominately a d-bag off the ice. On the ice, he mostly does his job and wins games.

Wonder if the mothership spends more time on this than the actual games themselves? They love painting all NHLers as thugs.

I'm kinda rooting for a Hawks-Habs final.

Yes. The Hawks still deserve payback for that bizarre game 7 goal in either 1971 or 1973, can't remember which. They were playing in Chicago in about 80[SUP]o[/SUP] heat and the ice was turning to fog. A Canadien player dumped the puck in from center ice and Tony Esposito lost track of it in the mist. That goal eventually helped the Habs to win that game and the series.

Granted one if from a winning team and one from a losing team but still.

This is how to handle yourself: Kane during handshake line

This is how not to handle yourself: Lucic during handshake line

Yeah, as much as it would be fun to pile on Lucic - and maybe he's a ***** - these sorts of things don't happen in a vacuum. My guess is that several things over this series or over the years led up to this.

Would you like him to be classier in that moment? Sure, but who knows what the Montreal players may have done or said.

As far as Kane, he appears to have grown up a lot over the past couple of years and seems to be trying to and succeeding at being a good citizen. I believe he's only 25.

I think a few (ton of) youthful indiscretions in the past can be forgiven.

Nah, it's really fun to pile on Lucic. Trust me. ;)

I was impressed with Kane. He does seems to be maturing nicely.

so you forgive all of Cooke's youthful indiscretions also? ;)

Sorry. It was just sitting there!
