Kane. Again.
Kane. Again.
Kane.
That's an absolute insane goal, but I've seen peewees play better defense than Brodin there.
Doesn't change the fact that it was absolute filth.
Point well taken, but Crawford was actually quite good last night. That's part of the story too. That's what makes it frustrating. I hope at some point the Wild at least make the Blackhawks try. Hitting the net would be a good start.
Spot on. And yet the Hawks were certainly awake on special teams. 2/4 > 0/3. By a lot. Some (many) Wild fans will feel optimistic coz even though they lost, they thoroughly outplayed the Hawks for most of the game.
Some (many) Hawks fans will feel optimistic coz the Hawks were asleep for most of the game and still won by 3.
Yup. If Game 1 functions as a wake-up call for the Hawks and they bring their 'A' game from this point forward, I'm guessing Hawks in 5. But if what we saw last night typifies the series, then every game will be anyone's game.Great effort by the Wild. Hawks need to be better (an will - this is the worst effort I've seen out of them in forever) or may be ripe for at the least a long series.
Let me send out a thanks to NHL Network for picking up the opening minutes of the Hawks/Wild game. Having NBCSN stick with the Pens/Rangers O.T. was the correct call, but it's still a tough situation if you have a greater interest in the late game. Because the game in Pitt ended quickly, it ultimately wasn't that big a deal. But the early game might have gone 2 or 3 overtimes...
Overall, I have to applaud the comprehensive nature of the current coverage. Some have complained about the start time of certain games. But as far as I'm concerned, it's been absolutely great to be able to pick games without fear that your choice may be unavailable due to head-to-contact conflicts, and/or your home zip code.
For the CHI-MN markets, they switched the PIT game to the NHL Network for OT.
Kudos to them finding ways to air the games somewhere, when the games overlap.

Not in Duluth, which was frustrating, because we don't have NHL Network on our cable.
