The Wild will lose in the first round because they can't play with a lead. I've lost track of how many times they were supposed to learn this lesson THIS SEASON.

:p:D:D No kidding! Nothing like getting the stare of death when the winning goal is scored and the announcers and fans go crazy, ruining my genius plan of having the volume extremely low so my wife doesn't wake up.

What's the line on Getzlaff finishing out the playoffs wearing a cage? That's a pretty nasty cut he has there. By my count, it's 14 stitches, maybe more.

Who else has NHL Gamecenter Live? I tried it tonight (on my Apple TV) in hopes that I could get the Fox Sports Detroit feed for the Wings/Bruins... clicked on the Red Wings feed link, and was pleasantly greeted with the TSN feed of the game. :eek: :D No Pierre Mc******face to listen to thanks to the TSN feed.

For those asking, I'm in Chicagoland, with a Chicago IP address; I did NOT use a VPN to get around the usual blackouts.


I really hope the NHL has done away with the stupid blackouts for the playoffs (and from here on out). NBC is already streaming all their games on the NBC Sports App, why not make it available via NHL Gamecenter Live too?

Lucic won't face any suspension from his nifty stick work last night, but likely going to be fined.

He apologized this am, saying it was "heat of the moment and he isn't that kind of player.". Excuse me while I laugh hysterically. So when Kronwall catches him cutting across the middle and Boston whines about it, Kronwall can use that same excuse, right? :rolleyes:

Quenneville grabs his own junk and gets fined $25,000.

Lucic grabs Dekyser's junk and gets fined $5,000.

Lesson from this: Don't grab your junk, grab somebody else's.

Actually, I'm fairly certain just about every fan would prefer to not see these actions take place, by any player of any team. Had Dekeyser gotten Lucic with a cheap shot or something, alright, I get it. But a clean check along the boards?

Nice gesture with the apology, whether it was true or not. But the "I'm not that kind of player"? Newsflash, scumbag, but you ARE a dirty player. "Heat of the moment"? Sure, that's why he looked to see if the referee(s) were looking before and after. He knew what he was doing, and there aren't many more completely disrespectful plays in hockey.

Lest you forget, Patrick Sharp *accidentally* speared Mr. Lidstrom in the groin and required surgery back in 09. "Only" had to miss 2 games, but easily could have ended his season.

Fortunately for Paul Bunyan, Detroit doesn't have a John Scott or Brandon Bollig. Otherwise we could see some turtle action as well!
