That 18 year old is a better offensive player than any player the Wild has ever had. Wow.

Don't worry, the same could be said of most teams that don't have Crosby on it. This kids doing better than Stamkos did his freshmen year. The kids got wheels and hands like I've never seen. The bruins certainly don't have a stand out player like that..

After watching both the games, I am not so sure. The Avs put on a clinic last night. I picked them to win in 5, but if the games are like last night, its a sweep. Not sure how McKinnon is only a teenager and looks as good as he does, but the avs have some depth too that they have built up over the years in the draft. They are fun to watch.

Leaving your feet adds to the momentum you already have going in for a hit. There's a reason it's illegal.

Sorry for picking on the same poster here, but it would be a civil disservice to not point out incorrect information. Leaving ones feet does not change the momentum at all.

To the extent you're pushing down with your skates into the ice as you extend your knees to leave the ice, you are adding force to the hit. Yes, once you're in the air, you're no longer adding force, but you're still adding more force by jumping than if you simply glide into the hit as permitted by the rules. It's not simply a torque thing.

Time for Mythbusters to get on the case...

Re: 2014 Stanley Cup - Don't Toews me, man!!!

I'm not speaking for the team, obviously. But they sure don't seem to be willing to do what it takes to win thus far. I hope they are energized by the home crowd and make me eat crow, I really do.

It's easy to get ****ed about dropping the first 2, but it's not so uncommon for a series to go 7 with the home team winning every game. Obviously as a Wild fan, that's not what you want (and a s a Hawks fan it's not what I want) but it is a reason to have some hope. If they **** the bed in game 3 at home, then there's a big problem.

Pretty bad last few minutes for Tampa Bay. Go ahead goal is waved off for a brutal goalie interference call, then Stamkos gets an accidental knee to the head from Emelin, then Subban makes a great play to set up a go ahead goal for the Habs...

For the 2nd, and in the start of the 3rd, the Sharks are again lighting Quick up like a Christmas tree.

And Mike Richards gives San Jose an opportunity to score one more. Incredibly stupid spearing penalty.

Home team between SJ and LA are 21-1-1 over the last two years or so. Sharks have to try to steal one now.

Well, Keumper and Heatley are in tonight; Brodziak sits for the Wild.

In other news, the Blackhawks lines are shaken up again this morning.
