I don't know how this game isn't a 5-3 game right now, for the quality of opportunities that have been blown.

So much change has been thrown at college hockey fans in such a short period of time. I think it's going to take at least a few years (likely more) for rivalries to build to the point where we see more travel for the conference tourneys.

I also think having this tourney fall within the NCAA Basketball Tourney doesn't help much either. Pretty sure that will always be an issue for this conference.

Hasn't the NCAA Basketball tourney always been at conference tourney time in the past? I think the conference tourneys are going to make people realize what a great thing we had with the WCHA Final Five.

Yeah, but look at the teams in the old WCHA. Outside Wisconsin, which schools regularly made the NCAA Tourney?

Not that I disagree with you about missing the Final Five.

Oh, light bulb just went on. You were referring to teams that also have a bball team that makes the tourney, makes sense now.

tOSU dominated puck possession in that game. I'm surprised they didn't end up scoring more goals. They deserved that win!

I hope the games today have a little bit better atmosphere......and bands that don't play over each other.

You guys watched the final Red Berenson-coached game.

When Michigan doesn't make the tournament on Sunday, I expect either the next day or a week from Monday there will be a Red Berenson retirement press conference.

Sad to send him out like this. At least he won his last home game.

Good riddance to Michigan. Talk about a program that doesn't live up to its reputation. An undisciplined, over-hyped team that really doesn't belong in the same conversation as teams like BC, Minnesota, or even Wisconsin. Berenson is like Bobby Bowden at the end of his career. And Michigan's fans ... pretty pathetic online showing. They're barely to be seen here, they don't seem to have active hockey blogging, and they pretty much seems just like OSU - what they really care about is football and basketball.

Pretty much except that Hockey has a great history and team despite not SHOWING IT on the ice.

Hockey was always #2 with me and I would say #2 on campus. That all changed in 2012-13. Basketball rising quickly took over here.

If Hockey didn't steadily decline, they would still a very close #3.

Also: I'd like to point out that Michigan beat every single team you mentioned this season. :D

I wouldn't worry about it. Minnesota fan can't grasp what it's like to have more than one relevant program.
