2014 Inaugural Big Ten Hockey Tournament 3/20 - 3/22

Re: 2014 Inaugural Big Ten Hockey Tournament 3/20 - 3/22

for your sake, pretend that I am interested in Minnesota. Tell me about your team.
We're really good. If 26 is in the lineup, someone is hurt and you have a much better shot. Number 24 will be down low on the PP and number 7 will come in from the right side. Have fun trying to stop them.

So Minnesota is like NASCAR? That would be player 26, Cole Whitt, great shot, Player 24, Jeff Gordon down on the PP, and player number 7, Micahel Annett from the right side?

That was a very informative post, I must say.

Listen, you obviously are very confused. NASCAR is nothing like hockey, especially Minnesota hockey. In Minnesota hockey, you can turn both right and left. You Michiganders are a funny lot. http://cheezburger.com/4716975360

You finally get some hockey talk and mock it? That's not going to help it continue, you know. But that actually is a pretty good description and reflects what happened last Saturday.

Re: 2014 Inaugural Big Ten Hockey Tournament 3/20 - 3/22

But your last three posts in this thread have contributed nothing to this high level hockey talk you seek?

I tried back on posts 81 and 89, to no avail.

How about this- you mention having fun trying to stop them. As it turns out, I have seen your team live- last Friday (for almost half the game), and Saurday, where Minnesota scored a combined 5 goals. It did look like a lot of fun keeping the puck out of the net.

A lot of preventing the goals must go to 35, who did an amazing job on some of the stops. But apparently having number 37 fully back in the line up seemed to keep the defense a little more calm, which seemed to help #4 from turning the puck over too much. Oh, wait, that's too much detail, it seems.

17 did a good job pushing the puck the other way, and it appeared 27 was a thorn all weekend.

Anyone know anything about Penn State? My CHN app just reminded me that face off is in just under an hour.

Yea, and of the 4 games we played against them, I saw 0 of them. So I still don't know much about them.
They almost beat the Gophers twice in Happy Valley and then the Gophers pretty much handled them at Mariucci. They aren't highly skilled but they do get up and down the ice a little bit and they throw a lot of shots on net. Their goalie isn't terrible, he was the main reason they played the Gophers so tough at Penn St.

or hockey, apparently.

oh, I said hockey- take a drink.

Now you are talking! It will be interesting to see how Michigan approaches this game. If they respond to the pressure like they did last Saturday, they likely will be fine. Allow PSU to stay around and they can make it a hard game. They play pretty disciplined. They don't have loads of talent, but they make the most of what they have got. They also have the blessing of 'having nothing to lose'. It can make them a tough out, even if they are the weakest team on paper.
