Again, if plans hold this will be the last realistic chance to have the tournament there, as there will be a full sized rink right next to this one...

On their Facebook there's a newspaper article about an actual women's tournament held there.

And a picture of a ref that I would definitely expect to be working games at such an excellent environment.

I like the picture of the woman with the burning hockey stick. But I'm really, really biased on that one- the same picture we got as part of a graduation pacakge for my niece. :) The alaskans may note that her jersey is actually from there and not Idaho, but you'd pretty much have to know that.

Like I said, this will probably be the last chance of having the Futile Four there- as it will be too nice once the new rink is put up. They are planning on keeping this sheet- as the cooler is more than strong enough to keep a full sheet and this sheet frozen.

Any efforts being made to slow down construction of the new rink to leave a more desperate site for next year's BFB FF?

That's why I like the idea of having it at the decaying Pontiac Silverdome. If you can get an ice sheet under what's left of the roof...

Any prediction which for teams will play in the Futile Four come April 2015?

I mean, this has to qualify for a rink. It may be nice, but the added bonus of schools having to get to North Korea would make for an interesting trip. Also, no school would pay to send teams to the futile four, they'll have to follow Google maps and kayak across the ocean, so that may be fun.
