Yes that was nice to see. I guess I better start saving up for a Palmquist jersey to go along with my Carter jersey :)

I also have a kid who is a student at MSUM, and plays in the pep band. Of course he was crushed by the game, and I feel terrible for all of you. That was a really, really good team, but sometimes these things just happen.

By the way, big Thumbs Up to the band this year. They showed up, enthusiastic and skilled, to every game. After Casey Nelson, I thought they were Most Improved this year!

I must say kudos to your son and the pep band this year! They are really kicking it up a notch. I always enjoyed stepping out into the concourse between the second and third period and watching them perform. They are really helping create a special atmosphere at the games. Nice job! Maybe next year they can start to play "In heaven there is no beer" :D

I needed a few days after this weekend. Obviously we are all disappointed and the goal in question isnt ultimately why we lost. (didnt help but also was the back breaker) we just didnt play out game. It was hard watching it end but thats sports and it why I love it. I really thought the loss would hit harder then it has but I think that I spent so many years hoping for us just to make a final five that now Im just happy to see out team going in the right direction. We have hit a bit of a road block here when it comes to the NCAAs, but in reality this was the only game we should have won. The previous 3 years we ran into good teams, and this year we ran into ourselves and credit RIT for playing hard nose hockey. We have a young team really and can only hope that the disppointment they all feel from this will translate into next year. I proudly wore my MSUM stuff even after the loss in south bend. We have nothing to hang our heads about, this team did more for the program then any others in the last 15 years. Stuff like this

I fully expected to hear but who cares. We know the league we are in and what this team did.

Its hard right now to look at next year as I almost dont want this team to leave but we are in good shape. It will be another great year and more excitement. We will need someone to steep into leitners role and palmquist leaving hurts but we have a solid D core. We will be here again next year.

Wow. Usually with goalies you feel pretty safe, knowing very few get to the NHL before 25, so the team doesn't push them to leave early. But if it happens, I wish him the best. And Tech lost Copley to early departure last year, and that worked out OK for them!

I was feeling a bit better that he might stay since the Islanders also signed CJ Motte from Ferris State. Losing him sucks but Cole Huggins is still here and hopefully the trend continues and he bounces back for a stellar year.

Or you know, RIT isn't a terrible team? Unskilled? We have the #2 line in the country with a Hobey Baker finalist centering it. How about both of RITs games were close and hard fought and MSU lost a close one.

Hey, don't take it out on us! The idiot who wrote it isn't one of our fans, just some guy who thought it was a good idea to denigrate our team and our conference on our thread.

Exactly if Williams does leave, Huggins will step up n play great not worried. I really believe Hastings will sign a extension over the summer and he gets his facilities too!! Starts tmrw morning actually, might be able to bring in even better players in future years. Great season for the guys, over too soon.

Sorry, trying to defend you guys here. It's common to see any AHC win as luck for us or the loser team slouching. I think anyone could re-watch our game and see how hard fought it was. Honestly, there were a ton of scoring chances on either end that could have sealed a victory.

Mavs21 are you saying they are remodeling VWC for the hockey team? That would be good for you guys but I thought I heard they didn't appropriate much for it in St Paul?

They are doing some stuff with the locker rooms this year. It probably isn't going to be as much going to the arena as expexted, but there is still a large chunk that is going to the hockey side of things.

The expansion includes new locker rooms, players' lounges, coaches offices, and training facilities.

Must be a generational thing to worry about the scoreboard. As long as it gives me the time remaining, score, and shots on goal, I'm good.
