2014-2015 D1 schedules thread

Re: BU OOC Schedule

Re: BU OOC Schedule

Something doesn't add up. First, though they say the schedule is released, the actual schedule page hasn't been updated yet. But besides that, the article lists 2 of the 3 non-conference series as being on the road (home vs. UNH but at RMU and at PSU); this means that the team has only 16 regular-season home games, not 18 as the teaser at the top of the article indicates.
The link to the PDF of the schedule worked for me. It appears that OSU will host Mercyhurst for a single game in Columbus and it also shows a single game at Robert Morris in Columbus. So it appears the error is likely showing the Robert Morris game in Columbus and not Moon Township.

The press release from OSU has been significantly updated since I first read it and commented. When I first looked at it, there had been no PDF attachment and the article had no dates listed. It also didn't mention a game against Mercyhurst (home or road).

The article still reads...
The following weekend the Buckeyes will be on the road again to Pittsburgh, Pa., where they will play Robert Morris the Friday after Thanksgiving, Nov. 28.
But even swapping out one of the road games against RMU for a home game vs. Mercyhurst would still mean only 17 home games, not 18. They do get to 18 if they count the exhibition game, but the teaser says "regular season" so it's not technically correct.

And the schedule page (http://www.ohiostatebuckeyes.com/sports/w-hockey/sched/osu-w-hockey-sched.html) still hasn't been updated.

I don't understand why they have moved most of the Friday night games up an hour (from 7:07 pm EST to 6:07 pm EST). It's hard enough to get from the office down to campus for a 7:07 game. Guess I will have to make arrangements to leave work early on the home Fridays.

I like that they're playing the Montreal Stars! Not so excited to see all the BC and BU games over by mid-January, though, with Coyne back you'd like to see the big games loaded at the back end of the season.

Little disappointing since it means a lot less drama come the tail end of the season unless there are the inevitable minor meltdowns.

Excited for the game at UConn since it will be a double header with our men so I will have some backup. And I am going to try to make it to Alfond finally this year.
