Season starts tonight for MSU. Should be a somewhat decent game as Jax State is one of the top teams in FCS, but I would rather have a blowout.

One of the more interesting parts of the game should be the bands. Despite only being able to play recorder, I love watching the band play, and Jax State is supposed to have one of the better bands in the country. 450+ members, and since we put the visiting band in a corner on the field, it's gonna be at tight fit for them. Sadly I don't believe they're an HBCU. I was hoping for a Southern or NC A&T type band.

Well, I'll try not to alter my playoff predictions despite the score of the SoCar game right now... Looks like my faith in the 'Old Ball Coach was just that.

1. Florida State vs 4. Stanford
2. South Carolina vs. 3. Michigan State

Michigan State vs. Stanford in a rematch of last year's Rose Bowl. Same result. These are not very scientific (not like my conference ones were either), but it's hard for teams not named Alabama to repeat, and I've got some green kool-aid in me.

This would be great for the B1G.

As a season ticket holder the email was thanking me for buying tickets, what was being done this year to improve in game stadium experience, etc.. And then I read the VCR part and it's the most Iowa athletic department thing ever. Kind of like having a blackout at your stadium and handing out red white and blue Pom poms to every fan except ony be red and white ones show due to the black..all on national TV playing Wisconsin.

It was over before I even made those picks. I had South Carolina going to the playoffs in the SEC prediction. When I posted USC was down 17 at half so I already knew it was busted.

Great showing by MSU tonight, but a couple injuries unfortunately.

So, Temple isn't exactly known as a football powerhouse.

And Vanderbuilt had a good season last year- beating a lot of other SEC fooball teams.

Temple 37, Vandy 7.

Nah, Franklin bolted because Vandy was losing a lot and the perfect job opened up.

Franklin also showed terrible clock management today. PSU should've lost. Good win for the Big Ten I guess but I don't really root for Penn State football anymore.
