2014-2015 College Football Thread: A New Era Begins..

As I recall...they didn't even get them out of the stadium because of the revolving doors...

I know one upright got to the concourse and up the stairs, not sure what happened from there. You're probably right unless the emergency doors were opened. I was there, but I was too young to be on the field. Man I miss Kinnick North. What a blast that was.

Ah, yes. The Metrodome Emergency Doors. Exiting that way was always a rush -- whether you were carting away stolen goalposts or not. Flush with victory, hurricane force wind blowing through your hair; those were the days. ;)

Conferences have had fines in place for storming the field/court for a number of years now.... Basically it was done to cover their arse should some dumbasses do something stupid to themselves/players/coaches/etc... It gives the conferences the appearance of discouraging such things...

Like this.

Yikes; didn't see that one coming. Obviously there is a serious side to this topic.

I'm not sure that the rest of us need to feel ashamed for seeing the levity in other cases. But yes, there are legitimate safety concerns that can't be forgotten...

Todd Gurley suspended indefinitely. Lots of autographs on Ebay is the rumor.

Except for the fact that last week vs Wake was the first time FlSt had covered the spread this season, and barely did it.

However, 23.5 points is intriguing.

I'd take the points. FSU's best receiver had a concussion last week and given other bumps and bruises, they'll probably try to survive and stay healthy for ND.

Saturday October 11th

Northwestern at Minnesota
13 Georgia at 23 Missouri
Louisville at Clemson
2 Auburn at 3 Mississippi State
9 TCU at 5 Baylor
7 Alabama at Arkansas
12 Oregon at 18 UCLA
LSU at Florida
3 Ole Miss at 14 Texas A&M
USC at 10 Arizona

I'm changing my Mizzou Georgia prediction.

big ten west certainly nothing to brag about but with minnesota's only loss coming at unbeaten tcu, they arent looking so bad. should hang on here today and then have purdue and illinois coming up.

And hang on they did!

I'd love to see 7-1 Minnesota play a 7-1 Iowa in Novemeber.

Iowa finally exploded on offense today.. Big plays early and shots downfield.. Crazy what that'll do for you, Greg Davis. Gave up too many big plays themselves, but the Hawkeyes finally win a pretty solid game. I trust Phil Parker to shore up the defensive miscues far more than I trust anything to do with Iowa's offense.
