2014-15 College Football Part II: SEC vs World

Re: 2014-15 College Football Part II: SEC vs World

Speaking of the B1G, Pedo State sent a letter to Jerry Sandusky asking him to renew his season tickets.

Re: 2014-15 College Football Part II: SEC vs World

Winston didn't testify at his own hearing. Neither did his roommates. Seems legit.

Re: 2014-15 College Football Part II: SEC vs World

The Bielema to Nebraska rumors that circulated for a bit today had myself and Hawkeye Nation up in arms.

Re: 2014-15 College Football Part II: SEC vs World

I knew it. It was going to **** off Iowa and Nebraska fans all in one fell swoop.

The only ones that should have been worried about that are buffet owners in Lincoln.

Re: 2014-15 College Football Part II: SEC vs World

So are the Bielema rumors debunked?

Would be sweet if he went there. Would certainly spice up our "rivalry" with Nebraska and make beating their *** every year all the sweeter and would serve Arkansas right and prove that the fat pig-clown was a failure in the SEC as he bolts back to the midwest.

I see only positives in this development should it come together.

And seriously Erin Andrews?

She'll obviously **** anybody... quite possibly any thing...

When a civil suit is waved in your face, you leave a statement(which he did), but don't say a thing without counsel in the room(which isn't allowed to speak in this meeting)

This is a complete "duh" sort of thing.

Let's be honest here..As big of a ****** that Biels might be, he would kill it at Nebraska. Anyone who says the guy can't coach is just being ignorant because he seems like such a ******.

Guilty. I simply don't like him.

He would make Nebraska a contender in the B1G west for years to come. I don't believe that he'd get them beyond that though.

Mike Riley from Oregon State is the new Nebraska coach.

That's an...odd choice. 93-80 overall and losing conference record.

With Sarkisian going to USC last year and Riley now to Nebraska, there's a pattern of storied programs hiring middle-of-the-road Pacific Northwest coaches.

This remains one of the more mind-boggling truths I've ever encountered.

That UAB situation is tragic.

Not sure I understand the Riley hire, but who knows what he can do with much better resources. However, why fire Bo if that's your best replacement?

Re: 2014-15 College Football Part II: SEC vs World

I don't understand this very much... Most of these bowls don't fill up and don't get very good ratings. Why would you not want to take a team playing it's last ever game, presumably when fans will buy up as many tickets as possible to A) Show the program does have support in a last ditch effort for reinstatement and B) See their team one last time. Plus, the game would actually have a storyline besides "Hey, here's two mid-majors that managed to get six wins."

Re: 2014-15 College Football Part II: SEC vs World

Granted I don't know the mechanics behind running a bowl game, but I would think if I'm one of the low-level bowls needing an at-large team, a team playing its last game ever would be a great story and pull in a lot of fans. (Granted, if UAB had a huge fanbase maybe they wouldn't be in this position.) I mean, it's not like the choice is UAB versus Ohio State for a bid in the Numbnuts Bowl, it's UAB versus Middle Kansas Tech or something, so I doubt the other options are that terrific.

Edit: Stop reading my mind, Spartanforlife4.

Re: 2014-15 College Football Part II: SEC vs World

Yeah, I don't know, If I'm a bowl like the Lockheed-Martin Armed Forces Bowl, I would think having UAB in the game would give us a whole lot of media attention to that bowl game. Heck, at lot of us would watch that bowl game no matter who else they got into that game. Who else that's 6-6 is going to draw as many eyeballs as what UAB's last game would? Not to mention them working the phones to raise cash and find other solutions to save the program? That's an add for the game that the talking heads just might be able to shoehorn into Sportscenter in between their coverage of the Big Four playoff teams.
