Remember when January 1 was the biggest bowl day of the year? Cotton, Gator, Citrus in the morning/midafternoon, Fiesta and Rose in the afternoon and Orange and Sugar at night?

it's not the playoff, it's ESPN. All but one bowl game is on their family of networks. They're as much responsible for spreading them out as anyone.

Camera work is poor today. Always zoomed in when the play starts. Disorienting.
