2014-15 College Football Part II: SEC vs World

Re: 2014-15 College Football Part II: SEC vs World

Nice with for ASU Saturday over Notre Dame. ASU got a big complacent after building the 28 point lead and looked like they might lose the lead, but then closed things out very nicely in the last part of the fourth quarter. The defense has really come together nicely since the UCLA debacle and if Kelly can get back to his level of play he had in the first part of the season before his injury, this team is looking really solid. Tough tests ahead against U of A in Tucson and possibly Oregon in the Pac 12 title game, but ASU has a chance to put itself into a playoff spot if they take care of business the rest of the season, not something many Sun Devil fans expected after graduating most of the defense and several key offensive players.

I say go ASU. Well technically, I say go anyone who isn't Oregon, but let's not get caught up in the details.

This is bullsh it. It's making a mockery of the absolutely incredible trophies this conference has. Shame on Fat Alvarez and Delaney. Just horrible.

Re: 2014-15 College Football Part II: SEC vs World

It really wasn't that close. Iowa scored first and last. The Gophers scored 51 points in the 55 minutes between.

48 yards between the first and last drives. Likely the moment that signifies the beginning of the end of Kirk Ferentz's tenure as Iowa's Head Coach. ****ING EMBARRASSING.

For 1 week Minnesota is #25 in the playoff rankings. They won't appear again sadly.

Ah ye of little faith
I was 3 last time they won this game. So yes, very little faith!

Minnesota has not beaten an AP top-10 team at home since 1977 when it beat No. 1 Michigan. Since then, the Gophers have lost 20 straight games against AP top-10 teams at home. This is the 13th time that Minnesota has hosted a top-10 Ohio State team. The Gophers lost all 12 previous times.

With Mississippi State at Alabama this week. Odd (pun) thing is that Alabama is -10. Either the folks who put real money on games don't agree with the rankings or they think that home field is worth more than 10 points.

That or they are looking to shift where the money is going.

Meaning, among other things, that you joined USCHO as a 4 year old.:p

(To refresh your recollection of October 14, 2000: The Gophers earned a 29-14 win that day.)
