2013 NCAA Frozen Four Championship Game: Boston University vs Minnesota

Re: 2013 NCAA Frozen Four Championship Game: Boston University vs Minnesota

Kelly Terry should be packaged up and delivered to the U.S. Patent Office as evidence that there is such a thing as a perpetual motion machine.

Not sure if the U.S. Patent Office could accept a patent for a "Canadian perpetual motion machine" but maybe it's worth a shot? ;)

Where I normally sit at Ridder there's a guy in back of me who, when Terry is on the forecheck and is already skating a 100 miles an hour, will typically yell, "Come'on, Kelly!" in a kind of gruff voice, as if she should be going even faster! Makes me smile every time I hear it. :)

And a passing comment that I forgot to make in another post...with respect to Kessel's slap shot goal A.J. Mleczko commented that "she just closed her eyes and shot it"!!!!!!

What? Closed her eyes and shot it?

What?

Yes she "closed her eyes and shot it" on her other 45 goals as well - pure luck!

Good one...What an unbelievably ridiculous comment to have made especially for someone with her experience and familiarity with the game.

I couldn't help but think how this might affect the thinking of a fan who may have been watching/listening who is new to the women's game..."I guess that's how they do it in women's hockey, they just close their eyes and shoot hoping to make contact with the puck and if lucky enough to do so they then just hope some more for the best".

She may have been thinking about the impending collision with the challenging defender but, if so, she should have clarified her thinking so as not to leave such an dumb impression.
