2013 Milwaukee Brewers - Cheaters, Underachievers and Disappointments Oh My!

Re: 2013 Milwaukee Brewers - Cheaters, Underachievers and Disappointments Oh My!

This team is so ***** terrible right now...I can't believe I've paid money to see them 5 times in person now...all losses. Just pathetic to watch, thank god last night they at least had some timely hitting from someone to score some runs. Tuesday's game was just pathetic, the Twins pitcher was struggling to throw strikes and the Brewers barely took a walk. Doug Melvin deserves to be slapped upside the head thinking Betancourt should be our everyday first baseman. There has to be someone better somewhere for FIRST BASE.

well it isn't Alex Gonzalez. :p They're saying Hart might go on rehab first week of June, but maybe not.

Yuni B is who we thought he was.

Yes he is, granted he has 8 HRs but wouldn't it be better to see what Hunter Morris can do? In all honesty, I have no idea why the Brewers wasted $33 mil and a first round draft pick on Lohse if they're going to suck this bad.

They probably spent the money to show the fans they were trying. Fans don't like it much when you just concede a season.

I understand why they did it but seriously, maybe we needed a bad one to get a top 10 pick, whatever...idk I wish they had not gone on that run last year so they would have had a top 15 pick and given up a 2nd round pick to St Louis. I'm still ****ed about not getting a first round pick for losing CC Sabathia, a pick the Angels used to take Mike Trout :(

At best, Brewers can tie the worst month in franchise history if they win tonight, 6-22 by the Pilots in August of '69. Cole Hamels is 1-8, so you never know. Then again, the Twins had lost 11 of 12 before playing us. :o

Also, Rickie Weeks has a 7-game hitting streak? Rickie Weeks has a 7-game hitting streak!?!?!!

he'll be up to .200 before you know it!
Yo's BAC is still higher than Weeks' BA? Ugh.

I really liked the throwbacks last night. Thought about getting one until they started to blow it. That, and they only have authentics for sale on shop.mlb.

This team is awful, but with all the injuries, it's hard to pin one problem down. I just wish they could string a few W's together now when they make the enevitable stretch run this late summer and break our hearts.

Yeah, its really too bad that Hart and Gamel had to go down...not to mention the fact that Lucroy and Maldonado have not been good on top of Weeks sucking.

I liked the jerseys, but I REALLY liked the socks. Those looked awesome with the stripes.

I know the offense will come around once the injuries heal (both the nagging ones and the DL ones). Having Braun, Ramirez and Hart in the lineup regularly has got to help. I'm not even that worried about the bullpen - they've been pretty good lately. I think we all knew the starting pitching would be a problem, but it's an even bigger problem than I thought it was going to be. They can't count on any of them. There's no stopper and they don't have as much leeway to get through offensive slumps.

who the hell were those guys? (I did recognize Yo :p) I think the offense got all their karma back in one inning.

Time to win a couple in a row. Brewers went through all of May without winning consecutive games. Last time was April 29-30 vs the Pirates.

nice outing by Wily yesterday.

Scooter Gennett called up, Fiers sent down. Third baseman Juan Francisco acquired from Atlanta (for minor league pitcher Thomas Keeling) and Alex Gonzalez released.

Narveson must be close to returning. Otherwise who's going to start?

This all sounds good to me. Time to see what Gennett can do. Obviously doesn't have Rickie's power, but Rickie's not exactly hitting much of anything these days anyway. I'm not sure what's wrong with Fiers or if that's just who he is. His great debut last year seems so long ago. Not said to Gonzaelz go; he didn't seem to have much left in the tank.

More of the same.

Rickie Weeks responds to Scooter Gennett's callup with a homer and a triple. Gennett is supposedly starting tonight.

I figured this would happen. The only positive thing on offense last night was from the guy who is getting platooned from here on out. Interested to see what Gennett can do.

With 19 hits, we were lucky to hold them to 10 runs.

At least the previously maligned thread title is now fully relevant :o
