Congrat's to Norwich - BUT (and this isn't sour grapes) Babson did get screwed having to play @ Norwich!

Can someone tell me exactly what losing the championship game to Babson cost Norwich? They still had a first bye and a second round home game.

Don't even you die hard fans think that losing that game should have cost them some sort of anguish? The seeding committee treated it like it never happened, giving them the #1 seed in the tournament.

IMHO, they should not have been given a first round bye, and not had an automatic second round home game.

Oh well, we still won the series against them this year, 2-1-1.

The ECAC championship game is just another game once the seedings start. Norwich still won in all the seeding criteria, although that game gave Babson the autobid. Without that win for the autobid, Babson probably would have been watching Hobart playing a game this weekend instead.

I told you before: Norwich got punished by having to play us again. Norwich had one weakness all year: Babson. We put 3 of the 4 black marks that they have on their record. We were the one club that Norwich didn't want to see in the tourney. THAT is the punishment they received. They played their whole season like they deserved the first round bye in the nationals. We played the season barely well enough to earn home ice for the first round of the league playoffs. The only reason we played at all after last weekend was because we won last Saturday. The. Only. Reason. Get over yourself or these guys are going to pound you into oblivion. And I won't come to your aid.

And you played one heck of a game tonight, too. You gave Norwich full measure. The two early goals and the right choice in goal by McShane made all the difference.
