A ****ing indictment of Oklahoma State and Les Miles. Should be an interesting series of reading. I'm under no illusion this is unique to Okie Jr., but it reads like all kinds of awful. If you're giving USC the business for the Reggie Bush affair, the Cowboys should be terrified. Of course the NCAA is anything but consistent.

The comments section is beyond depressing.

Re: 2013 DI BCS Thread: Thorthu Thame ish bacth!

This reminds me: Whatever happened to the Miami investigation? I haven't heard a bit of information on that for a long *** time...

Either way, as much as the public will probably **** OK State, I doubt the NCAA will do squat... They had two opportunities to drop the BAN-HAMMER (Miami, Penn State) and they balked both times... They will talk a good game, but in the end, the penalties won't do squat to discourage this crap
The NCAA really screwed the pooch with Miami, and the Hurricanes are probably **** lucky that PSU happened last year to draw eyeballs away from them. They really should have gotten the Death Penalty dropped on them. The NCAA needs to wake up and realize its gotta go Nuclear a little more often if they really want to clean up college football. Above all, no matter how slimy and sleazy a booster might be, they wouldn't want to be the one's known as the one who brought down the program.

Re: 2013 DI BCS Thread: Thorthu Thame ish bacth!

The only real question is how many more scholarships will USC lose. :D

Well played!

Of course at this point, I don't know if a few scholarships one way or the other will matter given the shambles USC is in right now. You can't blame the NCAA for Kiffin, at least not directly!

Definitely looking forward to Bama and A&M this weekend. I just hope I don't work during the game.

I know some are Johnny supporters. But I'd love to see Alabama knock him around all day. I dislike Bama but in the pecking order, I'd like to see Johnny get a beat down and then have Alabama lose the SEC championship game.

It'll be interesting to see how much coverage of the game we get. CBS is unveiling JohnnyCam (tm) Saturday night...a camera devoted just to Johnny Manziel. His coach has already decried it for promoting an individual over a team. ESPN is just wondering why they didn't think of it first.

Oklahoma State is NOT a scandal...Here's why :D

Looking forward to the Badgers coming to Tempe to face off with ASU. First real test for both teams. It'll be interesting to see if the heat plays a factor as it's supposed to be a high of 103 here Satuday.

103? Yikes. I know it's a dry heat, but how do you people muster the will to live in such temperatures?

Co-worker of mine is an ASU grad. There's the first round at a bar riding on the outcome here...

103? I'm sweating just reading that...

103 actually feels pretty good after a summer where it often flirts with 110 or so. Mostly you stay inside during the day. Actually this time of year, it is starting to cool off nicely in the evenings and mornings, so we'll take the little guy out in his stroller around sundown.

With the game scheduled to start at 7:30 p.m. AZ time, the sun will be down and it may be a bit warm, but really not that bad. ASU should have gotten them to play in mid afternoon. Then heat would be a major factor.

Both games in Madison were in the 90s. Probably heavier air, too.

I read somewhere that ASU is undefeated at home in its history against Big Ten teams (8-0), so a Wisconsin win Saturday would be historic. Of course ASU fans will be hoping for a repeat of Wisconsin's visit in 1968 when ASU won 55-7.

And 5 SEC players are reported to receive impermissible benefits.

http://sports.yahoo.com/news/ncaaf--documents--texts-reveal-impermissible-benefits-to-five-sec-players-202513237.html

My first thought was, only five? Yahoo didn't look very hard apparently. But still, this'll make the NCAA squirm a bit to find a way out of this one for their pet conference.
Applying the NCAA punishment matrix...

1) Is the team in the SEC?
If yes, stop. Punishment = 30 lashes with wet noodle.

There you go.

I'm tired of Alabama winning and I hate the media coverage of Johnny. I am Johnny fan and I love to watch him play football and his attitude makes it fun for me. I am one of the few rooting for him.

I'm surprised they didn't already do this. It seems they always catch the quarterbacks doing something during the game.

They probably do it, they just haven't named it. I bet ESPN takes it one step further and gets a sponsor for it.

Re: 2013 DI BCS Thread: Thorthu Thame ish bacth!

Jiffy John??

Who do they get to sponsor the camera in poker? Jack's Beef Jerky as I recall. They can name it the Jack's Beef Jerky Quarterback Cam and follow around one of the QBs. Maybe they can get another sponsor if they decide to follow someone else like Revis or JJ Watt.
