Bible Belt. They sure do!I'm not sure half the SEC knows what "smite" means.
Before He had a kid and mellowed out, God was smiting half the things on the planet.I'm not sure half the SEC knows what "smite" means.

It looks like the rising sun flag of Japan.
Yeah, they know what it means. The question is...can they spell it?Bible Belt. They sure do!
It's the South Hammer. Old testemate Wrath of God wiping whole cities from the Earth and plagues that involve blood, frogs, and the first born?? That's the parts of the bible that really excites them.I'm not sure half the SEC knows what "smite" means.
Reminds me of a good SEC joke:Yeah, they know what it means. The question is...can they spell it?
Well, ASU seems to have gotten the better of the deal with Notre Dame, as the Irish will be coming to Tempe in 2014 per their contract, but ASU won't be making the return visit to South Bend that had been scheduled in 2017. So, the Irish will have to bump someone else in 2014. Apparently the contract between ASU and Notre Dame didn't have a buyout clause.

Im guessing this is all due to the (partial) moveo the the ACC and the games they have to play against them? As an Irish fan, I like to think that they felt it was more beneficial for them to keep a west road game as a potential recruiting tool.
Certainly Notre Dame adding 5 ACC games a year creates some scheduling headaches, given the commitments they had already made. You'd think they could work with the ACC for the next year or two if it becomes to problematic to get the full 5 games in with the ACC. There is a certain oddness to see Maryland heading to the Big Ten while Notre Dame is sort of heading to the ACC.Im guessing this is all due to the (partial) moveo the the ACC and the games they have to play against them? Slap on the wrist for Oregon, naturally.
Normally, but they NCAA felt it was too obvious to do it when it was a team in their own conference...Wait a sec. I thought USC gets punished to be an example of big programs getting penalties whenever someone big messes up.

Unintentional pun?Wait a sec. I thought USC gets punished to be an example of big programs getting penalties whenever someone big messes up.
Unintentional pun?
Besides if they went after USC again, they'd have to go after South Carolina, just to keep things even.
