Union is 55th out of 59 D1 teams in PK at 75.4%. In their 10 game unbeaten streak, the Dutchmen PK is just 71.4%. Over the last five, the PK is 66.6%.

The team is excelling in spite of it for now, but that's not a number you can be comfortable with long-term.

Obviously, the positives far outweigh the negative with this team, but it has its warts like any other.

Great observation, I didn't realize it was so bad, the PK was one of our strong suits too, face offs impact that too but obviously there's more to it than that.

I was there...and yours wasn't lost. :D Jeremy Welsh donated a Canucks jersey that he and his teammates all signed. It went at auction for $2,500.00. :eek:

Wow. I assume you had the winning bid?

I don't know why I didn't get an invitation. I had plans last night, but I would have gladly canceled. The event was just 8 blocks from my office.

I can assure you it wasn't my bid. Are you on the Blades email list ? That's how invitations went out so far as I know.

Keith Kinkaid (Albany, AHL) led the pack among former Union players this week... he overtook Troy Grosenick for the AHL lead in goals against average (1.92).

While everyone looks at information from different perspectives if it was between Garteig and Stevens for the first half goaltender I think Stevens had the stronger first half. Harvard may have had the strongest team goaltending but the games were pretty much shared.

If we can sustain the type of goaltending we saw against St. Cloud, by Colin and Alex, going forward ... well ..... we will be a formitable competitor in league play. When we return to action we will have to hit the ground running on all 8 cylinders because we are facing Q. Not going to be able to afford the luxury of a slow start against such an explosive team.

Sometimes less is more...no games in over two weeks and up one to no. 5 in USCHO poll (for entertainment purposes only!). Happy New Year to all in Dutchmen Nation and all other nations for that matter.
